We’ve had some incredible sets played at the Community Function parties over the past few years so we thought we’d create a new mix series to relive those moments.

First up on the new Community Function Live series we have a mix from @amino8o8 recorded live at our party at the @pocketchangedetroit rooftop on August 2nd. Amino took control of the dance floor from the very start and had us locked in with her signature rolling basslines and textured percussions, we knew right away this was the mix we wanted to share with you all. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did :)

“Finishing my first run to NY & ATL I truly felt like this was going to be homecoming of sorts. Flew home with an abundance of inspiration and a strive to simply find comfortability and curiosity with my dancers. When preparing I kept in mind what would feel good in the sun overlooking Gratiot.  The feeling of excitement when I arrived home into a warm embrace of this community is a core memory of summer 2025. 

I’ve always wanted to play a Community Function and I truly feel like we all created this set to be what it was. 

Thank you boys for doing it proper for us time and time again!“

The next chapter of shifted arrives Saturday August 17th at the Marble Bar! We can’t wait to share the dance floor with you all again for another night of breaks, acid, trance & techno ⚡

This marks the two year anniversary of Community Function and we’re so grateful for the support from you all that has brought us to this point 🙏

This lineup is certainly not one to miss. Serbian born, Brooklyn based artist @xcoastriviera, founder of Riviera records, arrives to Detroit to bring us on a dynamic journey through frequencies and genres. Detroit’s own @2lanes.zoomzoom , fresh off an international tour, is ready to transport you to another dimension.

Local support from some of our favorite selectors @sphinx___909, @yamah_karim, and @dunezii_, accompanied by our Community Function residents @dj.candor, @zafarrrr_, and a live performance by Dose & Echo (@xanbishop x @whatsgoodhood_) round out the night.
