lately i’ve been reflecting on how grateful i am for certain souls in my life who fully see & accept /all/ parts of me —

the dj;
the writer;
the singer;
the nomad;
the sound healer;
the photo/videographer;
the kundalini yoga teacher;
the tv production coordinator;
the reiki master teacher/energy practitioner;
and SO much more among my non-binary self 👩‍🦲

being able to finally understand why, what, when & how i want to create - along with /who/ i want to create with - is such a blessing after sooo many years of internal struggling.

some days i still have my difficult moments, yet i trust that when i have the willingness to show up as my authentic, vulnerable self… everything will fall into place!!

these are what works for me so far 🫡

1️⃣ move my body!!

join a group fitness class. dance. go on walks in whatever city i’m in. bonus points if i can leave my phone behind

2️⃣ socialize intentionally: lunch dates. coffee with strangers. random & scheduled phone chats. facetime across time zones.

fostering mindful human connection has become a non-negotiable for me, because it can get lonely as a solo traveler sometimes

3️⃣ focused breathing and/or a guided meditation in bed, even if it’s for 10 minutes

it helps to have a guided video most of the time, so shout out to youtube and all the creators sharing their meditations 🧘

4️⃣ journal. every. single. day.

putting my thoughts on paper helps me process a whole lot of ideas that float around in my head. and the emotions that feel stuck in my body. i also remind myself how grateful and abundant i am to live this life i create :’)

5️⃣ listen to what my body needs… and actually honor it.

especially to rest & drink water!! both were difficult for me to do growing up. my body would be in survival mode and i felt like i constantly needed to be doing something. or i’d forget to drink water 😅

even though my location changes, these are my anchors to self.

while traveling full-time may seem fun and exciting, many of us on social media don’t see the loneliness, stressors and planning it takes to move through places

let yourself be a little more you, even though we know it isn’t always easy.
