EXHIBITION
3 Weeks of Design returns this May for its third season with the theme “Made for Living.” Running from May 30 – June 21, 2026 at Gallery Medium, this year’s edition is presented with the support of main sponsor Dulux Vietnam, bringing together more than 45 emerging designers and 17 ceramic artists, alongside independent furniture designers and local brands across Vietnam.
Returning for its second season, the international design competition, centered around the design prompt “A Seat for Anywhere,” joins the event with an open-ended exploration of how people live, sit, rest, and interact with space today. The competition received more than 200 submissions from Vietnam and abroad. From these, over 45 finalists were selected ranging from professional designers to independent artists and self-taught creatives. Awards will be presented in five categories: Best Design, Best Concept, Best Fabrication, Best Sustainable Practice, and People’s Favourite, all voted by the public. Results will be announced at the closing ceremony on 21.06.2026.
Running parallel to the competition is a furniture exhibition featuring Vietnamese brands and studios such as Mantle IX Vault, Trida Subject, Gòn.s, alongside various independent practices working across contemporary furniture and objects. In parallel, the ceramics exhibition highlights the expressive possibilities of clay through the works of independent ceramic artists and studios including Ami Au Ceramics, Trần Minh Thái, Ngây Ceramics, and many others currently practicing in Vietnam.
Beyond exhibitions, 3 Weeks of Design 2026 continues to serve as a platform for connection and dialogue. A series of Design Talks and special sessions will take place throughout the event, fostering conversations between designers, artists, and the wider creative community.

ARTIST
Emmie Mai Linh Massias (1997) is a French and Vietnamese visual researcher, artist and designer.
Through an exploration of form and material narratives, her practice investigates the entanglements between the body, territory and systems of extraction. By amplifying her own cultural identity, Emmie’s work seeks to raise questions of heritage across objects and participatory processes, facilitating knowledge sharing and storytelling.
Emmie’s practice has spanned accross Ho Chi Minh City, Paris, London, Eindhoven and Guadalajara. In 2024, she received the Talent Development Grant Scheme by StimuleringsFonds in the Netherlands, and co-founded Amalgame Studio with Marine Col.

The selected participants of 3 Weeks of Design 2026 were given a rare opportunity to visit Tân Thành Furniture Factory and 1st Maker Factory.
This experience offered an in-depth look into the craftsmanship and production processes behind each piece—revealing how ideas are translated into material, and how design takes shape through precision, technique, and collaboration.
We extend our sincere thanks to Tân Thành Furniture and 1st Maker for opening their doors, generously sharing their expertise, and supporting the development of emerging designers.
