We’re honored to be nominated for the Chronogram Readers Choice Awards in the categories of Bakery, Bread, Barista (Brett!), Bagel, Breakfast Sandwich, Grilled Cheese, and Overall Sandwich. We’re also thrilled to see so many of our wholesale and restaurant partners nominated, as well! (Fun fact: Two of the five best breakfast sandos are on KB milk buns -- shoutout to our friends @dry_fly_coffee_co!)

Huge congrats to our bread, pastry, coffee, and restaurant teams, who deserve all the love in the world, and thank you to everyone who weighed in on the first round. After spending last year in partial hibernation during our Broadway buildout, it really means a lot to be recognized in so many categories.

Pretty Good at Drinking Birria

I wasn’t born for making big bowls
I’m not made for selling donut holes
I ain’t cut for just buttering rolls
But I’m pretty good at drinking Birria

Was inspired to do a take of my current favorite meal in town The Birria consommé from @supertacos12401. This time with our corned beef ends, a lot of chilis and tomato, stock, cooked for an entire day. Then we soak a semolina sub and add some fresh green sauce, some crunch from some radishes … you got yourself a really tasty treat. Here til we run out!

With today’s start of the Woodstock Farm Festival, Farmers Market season is officially in full swing!

This year you can once again find Kingston Bread at THREE local farmers markets: Kingston on Saturdays 9 to 1, Rhinebeck on Sundays 10 to 2, and now Woodstock on Wednesday afternoons from 3 to 7 pm. Not to mention all of the glorious farmstands and shops that sell our bread and pastries throughout the week in Ulster and Dutchess counties. Farmers Market Season is back! What an incredible Opening Day at the @kingstonfarmersmarket today. So many veggies! Baked goods! Dogs! Babies! Breakfast Sandos! The rain cleared up and the sun came out and it was so lovely to be outside with our friends and neighbors.

A huge round of applause for our team of bakers, packers, and drivers, who are now sending bread and pastry out to THREE Kingston locations on Saturday mornings, plus our wholesale accounts, as well. They do incredibly hard things, and make it all look easy. And to our market crew, who set a new Opening Day record!

Let’s do it again tomorrow: We’ll be at the @rhinebeckmkt from 10-2 on Sunday, with fresh baked bread and pastries — and we still have some of today’s Dill Pickle Bread, too!

New Special for Spring: A Smothered Green World 🌱

Was feeling particularly GREEN this week as the world around us has woken up and the sprouts are sprouting. Chicken, mozz, Broccoli Rabe and a really bright and tasty spinach sauce which will have all of your vitamins for the day. It’s like a smoothie covered sub.
