Demotions are not enough, condemnations are not enough. Do not settle for a a scapegoat. Kristi Noem and Steven Miller have attempted to vilify and slander their victims. They lied about what we can plainly see.

Bovino is not the only one responsible for what is happening. We cannot let them continue to try to control the narrative through lies and propaganda.

Call your senators, call your congressmen. Put pressure on the lawmakers to stand up for your constitutional rights.

Lines have been crossed before the murder of Alex Pretti. And you let it go. You went on with your life. Ignoring all the small steps that led us here.

If this feels different to you, no matter your political affiliation, if this feels wrong somewhere deep down, you are not alone.

We the people need to come together and stop this authoritarian infringement on our constitutional rights.

I don’t use this platform to share my political opinions very often. But this month I have seen masked federal agents operating as a partisan secret police force execute two American citizens in plain view of cameras. I have seen my government lie about the events that we all can see so plainly. I have seen my countrymen defend the extrajudicial killings of my fellow citizens.

This cannot be who we allow ourselves to be.
What you are doing right now, is what everyone else will do when it’s your corpse laying dead in the street. When it’s your brother, sister, mother, father, wife, or child they decide to put a bullet in.

This must end. Call your senators. Call your congressman. Uphold the Constitution. Impeach Kristi Noem. Abolish ICE.

And if our government fails us again. It’s time for a general strike.

Working on revising my spring lessons to be more focused on client centric work. Simulating fire is fun, but in a motion design context it’s rarely the hero element. Using fire as a light source is way more appropriate in most cases. And if you can sim fire yourself, you can art direct it!

One of my favorite parts of teaching is getting to come up with cool new lessons to teach my students. Which means a lot of RnD to find the balance between what is practical for a student to complete and what will inspire them to push themselves further. This year the students at @ringlingcollegemotiondesign are learning how to Model, Rig, Animate, Texture, Light, and merge animation with simulations in #houdini within the #solaris USD system. Shout out to @wirewheels.club for the awesome car model!

Thermonuclear! Here is the other half of this little passion project I’ve been working on. This is probably one of the most complex sims I’ve built to date. With six individual simulations all working together to create this terrifying 300 Kiloton Thermonuclear Airburst. A blast like this, which is a very common yield on nuclear warhead, would cause a fireball a mile wide, two miles of severe blast damage, three to four miles of a massive firestorm, and a maximum light blast damage radius of 10 miles.

The inspiration for this particular blast is taken from a Russian RDS-6 Hydrogen Bomb and combined with some elements from the tests at Bikini Atoll.

And in all seriousness, let’s hope we never get to see these weapons used.
