After rocking up to venues and setting up a laptop, switch and my @chamsysltd console for a bit, I decided to modify this @titanav.co 3ru rack case as a compact and travel ready lighting rig!

It was a tight fit, but managed to fit an Apple mac mini, focusrite 2i2, network switch, keyboard on a sliding tray, touch screen monitor and my Chamsys mini connect.

Big thanks to @brenton.rake at @brav.tech for helping make my vision come to light, especially for his masterful soldering on the I/O panel. Hit him up for all your custom rack needs, he does all kinds of rack setups you would be after.

The I/O features (L to R):
-HDMI out
-USB
-Audio in 1
-Audio in 2
-Audio out 1
-Audio out 2
-Artnet out
-5 pin DMX out
-5 pin DMX in
-Network 1
-Network 2
-Powercon

All this makes the rig versatile for multiple artnet connections, standard dmx I/O, timecode in, and ability to connect to an external monitor/TV for vis and speakers when programming. Plus setup and pack down is so fast!

The recent @bestiesinyoursection tour was a good test for how well it works!

This chorus section from our song ‘Deadbeat’ might be the most difficult riff we’ve written, but Rohan’s ripping through it.

What other songs do you want to see playthroughs of?

We had some great shows last year and we’re keen for more! We’re currently in the process of revamping our live rig so we can be back and better than ever later this year!
