SCHROM x Yacht Club welcomes director Helen Downing!
Downing is renowned for her visually captivating food and lifestyle work, blending contemporary style with irresistible detail. Described by UK tastemaker David Reviews as having a knack for making “any dish, modest or madly ambitious, completely irresistible,” she is sought after for both tabletop cinematography and dynamic scene direction. Her commercial credits include M&S, Blue Apron, Sainsbury’s, Stella Artois, Dominos, and Walmart’s Asda.
Helen’s career began in live TV, directing high-energy performances for artists like Gorillaz, Foo Fighters, and John Legend. Her passion for music culminated in directing Ennio Morricone’s orchestra at Abbey Road Studios for The Hateful Eight soundtrack. After collaborating with Jamie Oliver on a TV series, she transitioned to food storytelling, capturing the essence of ingredients and the culture around them.
