These beautiful colored vinyl editions of the Clone Classic Cuts 001 and 007 deserve a little Instagram post ;-)

Actually its already 20 years ago this release was the start of the Clone Classic Cuts label, a label dedicated to the records that shaped and influenced me and many of my peers, records that had to be available again to be played out and not to be forgotten (Discogs wasn’t a big thing just yet...).

Mike Dunn’s Face The Nation from 1988 was always one of my absolute favorites, so it’s pretty amazing to see these limited colored represses of Mike’s records on the label out there two decades later along the latest re-issue of that beautiful Abacus Relics Ep.

Also back in again is the ‘88 release by Da Posse - It’s My Life

Massive love to Blitz club and all the dancers! That was a good one, and we’re going to miss that place.
A special thank you to @afra_dj__ , who delivered an immaculate closing set after a well-earned pre-show power nap 🛌✨ — which is also why she’s missing from the group shot! And thank you to Muallem and all the staff for the hospitality and the perfect backdrop for a Clone label night.
What a way to go out. 🖤

At STF26, @clone.nl will host a pop‑up shop, bringing a slice of Rotterdam’s underground to the festival. Founded in the 80s as a hobby project, @sergeclone noticed that the records he loved came from small labels. And that DIY approach, still uncommon in dance music at that time, shaped Clone’s ethos. Inspired by American house and techno, Clone grew organically, never chasing a musical career, just a passion for the sounds that move people. This year, Clone’s presence at STF26 is as much about sharing that history as it is about the records themselves.

> CLONE RECORDS NIGHT <

BLITZ
Afra [Spielraum]
Marcel Dettmann [Bad Manners]
Serge [Clone]
The Exaltics LIVE

Ticketlink in bio. Start 23.00.

Clone Records began with a classic DIY story in Rotterdam in 1993: its founder Serge initially saw the label simply as a way to release his own records quickly, rather than relying on others.

The label’s name itself was meant as an acknowledgement: > I was inspired by Warehouse Records by Armando, Underground Resistance, Bunker Records, and had a lot of respect for Alleviated Records by Larry Heard < he once recalled, referencing his American inspirations. > There was a huge DIY culture back then — people doing something they loved on their own little platform. <

From it’s humble beginnings, Clone quickly grew into an international distribution business and a beloved record store in Rotterdam. Over the years, the label has released music by artists such as Legowelt, Drexciya, Alden Tyrell, ADULT. and Duplex, among many others. Yet contrary to popular belief, Clone was never just about electronic music. > We always tried to stock music from artists and labels that we liked or respected — whether it was dubstep, drum & bass, or obscure modern electronica that would never get played in a club, < Serge adds.

Now the institution returns to Blitz Club. Alongside Serge himself - and you can trust a record store owner to have an informed taste, a good prerequisite for any DJ - the lineup features Dutch vinyl-only selector Afra, influenced by the sounds of Detroit, Berlin and her musical home: Rotterdam. She is joined by Marcel Dettmann and a live set from The Exaltics, whose appearance reflects the label’s long-running affinity for electro: > There was probably a certain melancholy to that music that influenced us a lot. < the labelowner remembers.

Ostgut Ton affiliate Marcel Dettmann barely needs an introduction: raw and dark yet irresistibly swinging, there are countless facets to the Berlin techno paragon’s oeuvre.

Its four years since the beginning of russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. While this seems like somekind of distant war, far away for most of us, it’s actually real close. Ukraine is on the same distance as Spain from the Netherlands.I have friends and colleagues there. Producers, dj’s, people I know from the dancefloor and some of them are now defending the country in the most extreme conditions, others are volunteering. All of them are living through something most of us can’t even imagine... I was lucky to travel to Ukraine during these four years and I am impressed by the resilience of the Ukrainian people. They are doing something that goes further then just defending their own country. Things are for real down there, they’re not playing!

I’m joining this fundraiser of @aid_x_10 to support @grupa_barrakuda, a volunteer unit made up of civilians who stepped forward to help defend Ukraine. I know my friends‘ stories. I know who they are outside of war. That’s why this isn’t abstract for me - it’s about real people who need real help.
The war hasn’t ended. It’s still brutal, especially in this winter. And Ukraine is still standing because people like them are holding the line, projecting all Europe from russian cruelty and imperialism.
If you can, please donate, even a small amount helps! Find the link in bio. @aid_x_10 prepared all the information in the slides.
It’s a modest contribution from us — but it’s real. And it matters.

A true cornerstone of the Dutch underground is heading to Prague.

DJ Serge, the legend who has been running the infamous Clone Records vinyl shop and distribution for more than 30 years has inspired and influenced generations of DJs with his uncompromising dedication to authentic techno culture.

A devoted admirer of Drexciya and the deeper roots of Detroit techno, Serge has remained a relentless advocate for the music’s original spirit, always staying true to a pure, old-school attitude.

Now he finally arrives for his Prague debut at Techno Alliance next weekend at Fuchs2.

On this occasion, Raphael Kosmos sat down with him for a short conversation. Check it out. And see you next saturday on the foggy dancefloor!

Playing a venue for the first time always comes with anticipation and excitement. Heading to Madrid to play Cadavra was no different.

Came ready to go deep into electro and techno, but ended up playing a full-on house set. The reason: my cuz @fritswentink set the vibe perfectly with two hours of unreleased, bass-heavy house. Add a great soundsystem and a room made for it.

Congrats to @cadavra.club on celebrating its 4th anniversary this weekend, and shoutout to the whole team for the warm vibes and lovely venue they’ve built. ❤️

Секретный просмотр Историй Instagram
