Mieke is known for her colourful immersive installations; blending imagery of the natural world with dynamic patterns and effects.

When people immerse themselves in art within community it is transformative and creates connection that enriches our lives.

FREE Block Printing Artivism Workshop with @ivythefloatingartist

Take part in a creative Artivism Workshop led by Tla-o-qui-aht artist Ivy Cargill-Martin, presented in partnership with Friends of Clayoquot Sound. Ivy was born on Vancouver Island and raised on an off-grid float house in her own Tla-o-qui-aht Territory, Ivy has grown up with two very artistic parents. Her mother Robin Cargill, a “jill of all trades” in the art world, and her father Carl Martin, a Tla-o-qui-aht master canoe carver. Her explorations of drawing and painting grew to include carving, crochet, embroidery, block printing, jewelry, sculpture, and even traditional hand poked tattoos.

In this Block Printing Artivism Workshop, participants will have the opportunity to design, carve, and press their own linocut block print onto paper or fabric to create a print, and some might even be integrated into the Projecting Visuals Artivism Workshop with @miekejay.visuals

Thomas Workshop is a core member of Lazy Syrup Orchestra and co-director of Soul Hop Productions. Bringing jazz-rooted sensibility into aquatic, groove-led, house-centric selections—shaped by years of live performance, songwriting, and community-driven dance spaces.

Alongside, Just Sheila emerging from a long Squamish winter with a 3 decade-deep instinct for the dancefloor—blending house, garage, UK funky, and 808 rhythms with the kind of energy that keeps bodies moving without asking permission.

Rounding it out, SLB, with over 15 years behind decks and dance floors—delivers a refined, no-frills approach—pulling from deep cuts and underground sounds. Connecting with the community through his Swrv nights in Squamish and a monthly show on Bside radio in Vancouver. Expect fun bass driven energy.
