Taylor has been the soundtrack of my life since I was 15 years old. Still fathoming that we got to see her UP CLOSE at the iconic Wembley Stadium in London along with 92 000 screaming, crying, dancing fans, all connected through the music she’s given us. With the support of generous donors, nearly R12,000 has been raised so far through the Ikhaya Lethu – Hope & Hunger campaign on @BackaBuddy.

Thanks to this support, Nonkululeko “Nonny” Mda (47) from Alberton has been able to buy gas stoves, pots, and ingredients to continue feeding 40–100 people every Saturday — mostly children who go hungry on weekends when school meals aren’t available.

Nonny supports this grassroots initiative out of her own pocket, using income from her job as a helper — But it’s the generosity of donors that truly keeps the kitchen going.

She recorded a heartfelt voice note to thank everyone who has helped so far — watch this clip to hear her gratitude and feel the impact of your kindness.
