Since 2018, I’ve watched my mother survive her divorce, raise my sister and care for her aging father, all while working as a preschool teacher, a high school teacher and a non-emergency ambulance driver. I’ve seen her chauffeur my sister and her friends around to no end, bring her father home cooked dinners most nights of the week and continue her animal rescuing.
