The first quarter of the year was a grind!
It was tough—probably some of the hardest months I’ve worked through in a long time.

While juggling life and motherhood, deals fell through left and right—
foundation problems got in the way, break-ins, squatters, plumbing disasters—you name it.

But the ones that DO make it across the finish line remind me why this journey is worth it,
and why I keep showing up.
Why I keep building.

I’m proud of what got built this quarter—especially the parts no one else sees—
because I know one day, my ceiling will be my daughter’s floor. 💚🏠💚

Some gags and good times from Twisted Metal Season 1—streaming on Peacock now! This year put things into perspective more than ever with just how much I love this industry, community and the responsibility to deliver on days where there is a need for a REAL human to create story through action. I am so proud of this show we did, even more so due to being sidelined by this strike for several months. You realize when something is out of your control, taken away, and for me, after almost 18 years in this world how deeply it is apart of you, how much you love those around you that you have lived and shared your life with. All of it is truly an honor to be apart of. Twisted Metal was home for several months through the hot New Orleans summer last year, where I had the absolute pleasure of doubling @stephaniebeatriz and working for @notclaycullen/Clay Cullens! I made great new friends that I hold dear to my heart and deepened old friendships made stronger through this incredible journey called filmmaking. Like for many of us, this current year was difficult—the strike took away this life we live and made the entire industry take a hard look at the longevity we are up against with AI. I think there is a balance and place for both but also great potential for abuse. Careful consideration of this new frontier is needed and right now I don’t feel confident our new contract agreement will protect us as currently written but I pray our union can navigate the right path so we can all keep doing what we love!
