plug-in city (2000) was recently exhibited under the curator ship of 5th grade students from la courneuve (with the support of @horyamakhlouf). the exhibition - les deux mondes - a truly successful presentation of works from the seine saint-denis departmental collection - was held inside the new middle school building set to open this fall. futire students and their families got to discover the premises by exploring the exhibition rooms.
(i'm very proud to have been part of this project, which coincides with pom pom pidou, the exhibition of the mnam collection currently on view @le.tripostal.lille ( @jeanneabrun & @jeanmaxcolard ), and even more so because @raphaelebertho is also showing this same work in modern vanity, the show she curated for @ncpi_taiwan

A solo show is devoted to Alain Bublex’s works. Born in Lyon in 1961, Bublex is a French artist whose atypical career has taken him from industrial design at Renault to a polymorphous artistic practice. His work explores themes of urbanism, architecture and mobility, often reinterpreting utopian projects from the 1960s and theories of urbanism, design and painting.

His varied and infinite projects have led him to reinterpret the history of American landscape art or to integrate Mount Fuji into improbable landscapes. While some of Bublex’s projects are a continuation of his close relationship with the industrial world, his latest work confirms the importance of landscape in his work.

Playing with our perception of the world, art, landscape and history, Alain Bublex’s works presented in this solo show at artgenève are representative of a prolific body of work, both graphically and conceptually rich.
