We are please to share this research opportunity for Parents of Children with Cleft, ages 3-6: the ICEEFT “Couples with Newborns Navigating the challenges of Cleft (CONNECT)” research project.

This project will adapt and pilot an existing couples’ therapy intervention to improve relationship satisfaction and psychological health in parents of infants with cleft lip and/or palate.

The project runs from February 2026 to July 2027.

“Cheers to Cher’s 80th Birthday”
Cher’s performance in the movie, Mask, released in 1985, sparked her interest in children and families affected by craniofacial differences. A few years later in 1990, she formalized her involvement with CCA, participating in Craniofacial Awareness Week in Washington, D.C. and signing on to become our national spokesperson. Cher conceived the idea of a camp for the whole family. Cher’s Annual Family Retreat was born. Since 1991, Retreats have been held annually throughout the country.

Everyone should be #SeenAndServed with dignity across hospitality and service settings. And yet individuals in the facial difference community are having varying different experiences across the sector.

We want to ensure everyone is having positive experiences, and being respected, valued and included in everyday life.

Organisations and individuals in the facial and visible difference communities are patrons of the hospitality and service industries the same as anyone else.

Here our member organisations @betcs.cz @smiletrain and @ccakids share what the Seen And Served campaign means to them!
