In what is by far and away the biggest moment of my career, I was the composer for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Opening Ceremonies! I composed 8 original pieces for the ceremony tonight! I couldn’t have done it without the trust and belief of my creative partner in crime @ahmedalbaker. I want to thank everyone at @katarastudios who worked so hard on this massive project! Thank you to @thedanahofficial who co-wrote “The Calling” and “Hala” with me and lent her beautiful voice to ceremonies. Thank you to @oldtheatre3 who orchestrated and conducted the @qatarphilharmonicorchestra for the recordings. My team at home, @kyle__kirkpatrick and @ericbelvin who lent their talents throughout all the pieces. @hypechoir for lending their voices. @aricimprota who performed the percussion and most of all I want to thank my beautiful wife @whitney_n_johnson for all her love and support through this last year!

‘The Journey’ was the track I composed to start the Opening Ceremonies for the Fifa World Cup Qatar 2022 and features the one and only Morgan Freeman. My score was orchestrated by @oldtheatre3, performed by @qatarphilharmonicorchestra and features @ericbelvin on piano. Recorded by my team @katarastudios who also created the film.
