Meet Josh Potvin, one of the newest members of the Merrell athlete team. 💥

His running story started early. Growing up in Thunder Bay, he raced everything from 800m to 10km while exploring the forested trails of the Cascades Conservation Area. After moving to North Vancouver, the mountains took hold, and trail running became his focus.

This season, he set his sights on his first 100km race. Months of consistent training led him to The Canyons Endurance Runs, where he finished 19th overall in the 100km. With that milestone behind him, he's now chasing a UTMB OCC auto-qualifier for 2027.

Beyond the trails, Josh is a registered architect. A grade 7 career test predicted the path, and years later, he proved it right. Today, he balances creativity, precision, and long days in the mountains.

We're excited to welcome Josh to the Merrell team and can't wait to see where the trails take him next!
