It’s like Christmas morning 🤤

In preparation for our Books For Schools program, we’re receiving the BC published and Canadian Indigenous books submitted this year. Next week they will be assigned to educator evaluators to choose the final books and organize by age range. The final list of books gets added to BooksForSchools.ca and serves as a free database for librarians and teachers to choose the best BC and Indigenous books suited for ages K-12.

Although BC Book Day is over, theres no reason to stop celebrating the beautiful local faces, voices, and stories that shape our province.

It’s Creative Industries Week and this Saturday, April 25 is Canadian Independent bookstore day #CIBD @indiebookstoresca Keep the celebration going by:

Yesterday was the 12th annual #BCBookDay 📖❣️

The goal of BC Book Day is to celebrate BC’s literary community and to raise awareness among government and the public of BC’s publishing ecosystem and its cultural and economic contributions.

The event itself took place at the parliament building in Victoria and included independent BC publishers, guest authors, @magsbc and of course, the legislative assembly @bclegislature
