This May, we honor Mental Health Awareness Month with a POV collection centered on healing, resilience, and the power of creative expression.

In partnership with @film.in.mind, The D-Word, and @documentalityproject, this collection reflects the 2026 theme “In Every Story, There’s Strength,” highlighting stories of compassion, reflection, and the many ways we cope with life’s challenges.

From intimate portraits of mother-daughter relationships to meditations on grief, absence, and connection, these films reveal pathways toward understanding, healing, and reconciliation. Across the collection, art emerges as a powerful lifeline offering expression, identity, and hope in the face of adversity.

Stream the collection now on POV! @amdocdocumentary

@film.in.mind ‘s next #Guided #Community #Rest #Space for #Filmmakers (and for anyone involved in the medium of #film) is scheduled for 🌟Wednesday 3 December 2025, 9am EST / 2pm GMT / 3pm CET 🌟
Book through Film in Mind website > Opportunities (link in bio)

The space will be facilitated by Film & Narrative Therapy Consultant @p.o.h.l.i.n

Film in Mind have been reflecting on how to respond to our current times. They wish to offer a place and time to gather and practise restoration, care and sustainability together. They envision this being a low-cost monthly space you can regularly attend, with a different practitioner to guide each time.

Central to the space is #rest, with the invitation to ‘take part’ with as little or large energy as you wish to bring. Poh will invite you, in this December session, to consider the theme of ‘Looking back: A time to sift through the archives of this closing calendar year.’

This will form the basis of 45 minutes of responding to prompts quietly and privately followed by the chance to share and connect.

2026 dates to be announced soon, set to happen Thursdays every month!

@film.in.mind is offering #Filmmakers a 4 week #experiential #Consultation Group through September 2025 that blends practices from #narrativetherapy with filmmaking approaches across genre to further #creativity, #centercare and #ethics especially around participants, and shift away from extractive practices.
🔥BOOK YOUR SPOT NOW

This blend has been honed over the last decade by the facilitators: Narrative Therapy Consultant and Film in Mind Practitioner Poh Lin Lee and Filmmaker Gabrielle Brady and can be seen and felt in action for their films ‘Island of the Hungry Ghosts’ (2018) and ‘The Wolves Always Come At Night’ (2024). They offer a unique approach from their respective fields.

🌻Narrative therapy encourages #collaborative inquiry to understand people’s lives via the alternative, neglected stories that have been overshadowed by one particular dominant story. It offers #thinking and #reflection around #storytelling #crafting, #angles, #power-sharing and more that offers creative ways to open up the medium of film across genre and form.
