I've really been enjoying painting some mini canvases for fellow shift workers at the Houston TX Temple. It's sad that my time there is at an end (for now!) but things are moving forward even faster for a bright future!

Cats, coffee and crochet themed shoes for Ms. Davis, as well as a few steps of my process:

1- stuff the shoe with bags to create a stuff painting surface
2- tape off the rubber outsole and other places you don't want to get paint on
2 1/2- spray with a bit of sealant beforehand because vans are thirsty
3- the shoe is darker colored, so I used a white gel pen to make a sketch of the design
4- fill in the sketch with white paint as a painting base (may need multiple coats)
5- use other paints or paint pens to complete the design
6- outline all finished characters with black to clean up edges
7- spray/coat with sealer, let set for recommended time before handling
