I really enjoyed working on this project and am happy with the results! 8/12 being my new favourite photograph ever. Feel free to give me feedback on any and all my pictures of this project! I’m not entirely sure the project needed a flashback like this (11/12 and 12/12) but it rounds off the project and leaves better questions to arise as a viewer I believe.

Explaining these photos to my photography cours peers gained me some strange looks and I assured them that he was in fact still locked up in the basement! 😁

But for real, setting this shot up was interesting because before I even defined what the story of these stills would be this image was so very clear to me. Just like the next one

This photo is my absolute favourite of this project. I adore the composition, the ‘set’ and the use of empty space. And the red lips linking her to what almost is depicted as her prey.

When it’s your own shoes on your table, it wouldn’t be a huge deal. Though, it may be more of a problem when it’s your shoes on feet you don’t know, on your table when you’re not even home.

Recently planted, this tree needs extra water, thus one of her tasks is to water this tree. 🌳

Working on this project I knew the main character had to be a woman. When I asked friends to be a model for this project I had little luck! They were busy.
I shortly considered to change the main character to a man but shut that down quickly as it changes the whole feel of the project.

So during the shoots I set my camera to a 10 second timer, put my costumes on and started running! Only after the shoots I thought a device might exist to shoot from place…

At least I got some exercise 🏃‍♀️

This project was made as a final project for the photography project I did at Arts University Bournemouth. The concept being that these photographs are screengrabs of a film that wasn’t ever made. It could even be used as a proof of concept for this film.

Initially I wanted the colour scheme for this project to be blue and quite dark with potentially a touch of orange or pink. That idea clearly evolved along the way.
