Behind the scenes from our "Exploration Leaves a Mark" campaign for Škoda Vietnam, shot in Hanoi and Cao Bằng, December 2025.

Four months later, watching this back still hits. Our director @bc.paulviminh said he almost cried seeing it again: the people, the moments, everything that went into making this happen under tight timelines and tough conditions.

This was a meaningful project for all of us. Beyond the cars, it was about showcasing the landscapes and culture we care about.
Grateful to everyone who was part of this journey.

Looking back at 2025, it's hard to believe how much ground we covered, literally and emotionally.

From the mountain ranges of Mộc Châu to the streets of Hà Nội, from the valleys of Cao Bằng to a fishing village in Phan Rang, from an empty theater in Vũng Tàu to a stadium during a soccer match. We worked with cows for the first time. We took on our biggest car project yet with Škoda, traveling across the north. We developed stories from the ground up, conceiving and directing projects in-house that we built from creative through production.

This video is a reflection of all of that: the quiet moments, the movement, the celebration. A year of collaboration, discovery, and craft.

Our first project with Bia Saigon: Một Lời Mời Toả Tết Lớn.

The concept follows four regions across Vietnam: North, Central, South, and Mekong Delta. Each with their own way of inviting someone to join their Tết celebration. A Hanoi apartment courtyard block party. Old friends on a Saigon rooftop. Fishermen gathering their families in a village in Phan Rang. A small family party under coconut trees in the Delta.

Director @anh___phi approached this as a story about circles, how every gathering brings people together. We spent time finding the right locations, casting real people (including the whole Thai An fishing village), working through transitions and how each scene connects to the next. It’s a beer commercial, but we tried to give it the care of filmmaking. Less about selling, more about the flow and authenticity of each moment.

We’re proud to share the first film from @skodavietnam ‘s “Exploration Leaves a Mark” campaign. A story about the places we return to and the memories that pull us back.

This isn’t a typical car film. It’s an exploration that looks inward, following a man’s journey to rediscover a place from his childhood, and the Škoda Kodiaq that takes him there, from Hanoi to the mountains of Cao Bang.

Directed and story by @bc.paulviminh , co-founder of Booncha, who brought this concept to life with a vision rooted in genuine emotion rather than polish. Shot by @ray.lavers across a massive production spanning three units and a crew of 200+, in close collaboration with @happinesssaigon

Thirty seconds in Mộc Châu.

The greenery is endless. The air is different. And the people: Anh Lợi, bé Ngọc, their family who live this life every day, tending to their herd, providing fresh milk to @mocchaucreamery

We spent days there, absorbing the quiet dedication, the rhythm of the land, the love farmers put into what they do.

Our own @bc.paulviminh brought his human touch to the story, with cinematography by @hoangha92 capturing the light poetically, and music by @mess.vndtown , a local touch from someone who knows these highlands.

We are grateful for the incredible team that spent weeks with us in this beautiful land. Sometimes you make something and it stays with you. This is one of those.

At our core, we’ve always believed in sharing the beautiful parts of Vietnamese culture with the world, and this film is a reflection of that commitment.

Three years in the making, and we finally got to help bring Y Vân: The Lost Sounds of Saigon @yvan.film to the world.

Last weekend, this Vietnamese documentary about a famous composer and songwriter from the 1970s had its world premiere at DOC NYC, the largest documentary festival in the U.S. It was an honor to be part of this journey, working alongside an incredible crew to tell a story that deserves to be heard.

For Booncha Studio, this is our first feature-length documentary co-production to screen internationally in competition. A milestone we’re deeply proud of. Three years in the making, and we finally got to help bring Y Vân: The Lost Sounds of Saigon @yvan.film to the world.

Last weekend, this Vietnamese documentary about a famous composer and songwriter from the 1970s had its world premiere at DOC NYC, the largest documentary festival in the U.S. It was an honor to be part of this journey, working alongside an incredible crew to tell a story that deserves to be heard.

For Booncha Studio, this is our first feature-length documentary co-production to screen internationally in competition. A milestone we’re deeply proud of. At our core, we’ve always believed in sharing the beautiful parts of Vietnamese culture with the world, and this film is a reflection of that commitment.
