Mutante - new route on Petites Jorasses 3658m
A little gem of a route on the wild side of Mont Blanc 💎 🤩
A couple of days ago Mirco, Giacomo and I opened this evident line in the middle of the south face of Petites Jorasses.
The result was one of the most complete and varied route we've ever climbed, that packs every climbing style, hence the name "Mutante"
Firstly rock (and choss), then steep snow at the start.
Finest dry tooling action on a perfect corner with delicate yet powerful climbing.
The rock gets slabby so it makes sense to put tools away and climb a couple of pitches in bare hands and boots (including a smearing traverse)
Here we reach an awesome pitch of alpine ice, that leads to the entrance of the gorge.
Eventually the technical difficulties decrease and the route become the typical mount Blanc goulottes
A perfect two days with a great team with nobody around and a funny ski descent (if you've seen the stories you know😂)
Looking forward to bigger projs together soon 👀

Last weekend, @ale.bau.mountainguide and I went for a nice little outing in the mountains! We followed the most obvious line along the most famous skyline of the Dolomites and the Alps 💎
Three days in the maze of the Tre Cime, where we had a blast and climbed a lot, even if we barely used our climbing shoes! 🫏

A powerful debut in Team Ferrino for Luca Ducoli and Mirco Grasso 🔥
Together with Giacomo Mauri, they completed the Divine Providence + Freney combo on Mont Blanc: two legendary alpine lines linked in a single push. A feat never completed before in this style.
A few shots to welcome Luca and Mirco to the team… What an entrance👏

Two weeks in, lots of climbing and good times, but the reality was we hadn't accomplished anything concrete yet. And you know there's always a bit of hunger for a solid performace, expecially during this trips!
That line on Walwalun looked like the great objective for the team. We only had the usual doubts: Can we climb those blank slabs? Too hard? Too easy? Will we need too many bolts? Will we have enough time? 🤔
At the first weather window, we were at the base, and all doubts vanished. Those "impossible" slabs had just enough micro-features to make them not only climbable, but incredible. We moved fast, placing bolts we could count on the hands, reaching almost the middle ledge on the first day.
Day 2, we pushed up to the steep headwall - with more cracks and more obvious. The way was clear! Over the next two days, we topped out and added a lower variation pitch to bypass a permanently wet aid pitch.
The line was completed, only the final touch remained: climbing every pitch free. But the bad weather rolled in. 🌧️
Rainy days dragged on slowly, but the camp vibes were always high. Between farting contests, nouvelle cuisine based on eggs, tuna, and carrots, and intense Tarock games (a mix of austrian, slovenian, italians and many others card games), our psyche stayed high. After logging more than 100 games in our scorebook, Vladek was in the lead, and just before our flight back home, the final weather window finally opened.
At first sight, the wall was soaked, with literal waterfalls from melting snow. But thanks to some sun at the right moment, a bit of luck, and Jernej’s steel biceps, we managed to free every pitch!
TAROCK was just born: a stunning new route right up the middle of Cerro Walwalun 🃏
What an incredible trip, and not just the climbing. The unexpected energy of this new team was unique, and I'm sure we'll do some great things together in the future. You don't change a winning team, right?!
Thank you boys, I love you ❤️

Two weeks in, lots of climbing and good times, but the reality was we hadn't accomplished anything concrete yet. And you know there's always a bit of hunger for a solid performace, expecially during this trips!

Ok, it’s finally time to talk about my last trip to Chile 🇨🇱
We left home at the end of January without a specific goal. Of course we wanted to open a
new route, but had no idea where or what. Our plan was simply to reach Cochamó, talk to
people, try to climb cool things, and just go with the flow.
I had only known @kruderjernej for a couple of years from a few casual days at the crag, and I
literally met Vladek for the very first time in Puerto Montt. Spending 24/7 together in the wild
for a whole month? Definitely a gamble.
During the first half of the trip we were rained out on our “warm-up” route, we got roasted by
the sun during an attempt to get the second free ascent of “Entre Cristales Y Condores”
(Krudi was freaking close, I had no chance on the crux pitch). At the end we found someone
else bolted belay right after battling our way up opening five pitches of an “unclimbed” route.
As they say, when things go south, people’s true colors show. That kind of frustration can
easily break a team apart, but in our case, it only made us stronger. We stayed on the exact
same wavelength, remaining always motivated, keeping have fun and enjoying the beautiful
place where we was.
After a scouting day on Walwalun - the massive mountain dominating the Anfiteatro - we
started dreaming our new line right in the middle of the wall ☀️
Meanwhile, an intense farting contest was in full swing. Unsurprisingly, Krudi proved to be a
world-class athlete in this thing too, dominating the leaderboard with a solid score of 500.

Within 3 weeks in the valley, we managed to complete a very long and hard route in Anfiteatro/Cerro Walwalün. We freed all the pitches and the hardest one stopped at around 7c. We're super proud of this achievement and we can't wait to tell you more about it 😁!

A new chapter on Marmolada’s south face.
It all began in 2019, when @micrograsso and @nicologeremia opened the first 10 pitches —350 m leading to the central ledge of the Queen of the Dolomites.
What followed were years of returns, setbacks, injuries, and days lost to conditions.
But this summer, everything finally aligned. They completed Chiaroveggenza all the way to the top: 900 m, 20 pitches, difficulties up to IX+, and only three progression bolts placed along the entire new section — a line of scale, commitment, and raw Dolomite exposure.

CHIAROVEGGENZA
It still doesn’t feel real to see this line completed.
The route can be divided into two sections: the lower part climbs to the left of the Specchio di Sara sector, and the upper part which follows the west face of the steep pillar in front of Don Quixote. The two sections are separated by the great Marmolada ledge where it's possible to have a big party inside one of the caves 🪩
