san
professional daydreamer, accidental producer
on dharug land in so-called australia 🍉

Meet Rachelle Esaid and San May, the artist facilitators who created roots, a series of creative hangouts for Palestinian youth 🍉
We are excited to present the program they dreamed up as emerging CACD (Community Arts and Cultural Development) practitioners, living on unceded Dharug land with a deep connection to Western Sydney.
Rachelle Esaid(@reshellved)is an artist and arts worker with a Bachelors in Visual Arts from University of Wollongong and a Cert IV in Arts Administration. She has worked in a variety of roles in arts organisations from venue management, gallery assistant to producing programs/events. Their artistic practice focuses on creating joy for her child self whilst acknowledging the difficulties she has with her current self. She expresses this through a variety of mediums, character designs and bright colours on a sullen image.
San May(@sndrmy) is a creative producer, community artist, and professional daydreamer who completed a Bachelors in Creative Arts for Film and Television Production from JMC Academy. Since 2017, they have been working in Western Sydney to deliver creative and artistic programs alongside community. San has experience in art education, event producing, festival design, and stop-motion animation. A strong advocate of human and social rights, San hopes their work inspires others to broadcast diversity in the arts.
They will be bringing their passion and skills to the free workshop series, running from March - August on Saturdays.
💌 Expressions of Interest open until 15 March. Link in bio.
Stay tuned to see who will be joining them as guest artists 📢

Where Shadows Sleep was held at Fairfield City Museum & Gallery in October 2025. The night acted as a conduit for spiritual conversations through making, performance, and most importantly rituals. Rituals we’ve brought from our homelands that continue to live within us.
There’s still a highlight reel to come but for the meantime enjoy some sneak peeks of the evening. Thank you to all the artists and contractors involved, and thank you to the shadows who are always with us.

The Gardens by the Kids is going to be a project that I hold so close to my heart 🥹 It was so fun to be guided by amazing 11/12 year olds and the inner child in me is so happy, kicking their feet in excitement.
Thank you @claudiachidiac_ for allowing me to be a part of the village and giving permission for a child pushing 30 to play 🌷🌸🌿🌻🪴🐝🌳

Our upcoming session will be led by guest facilitator, San May (@sndrmy). With Pride Month coming to a close, this workshop’s theme is Wrath Month-themed. As much as we love sharing love and positivity, we also love how it feels to be a hater! 😡🔥
So come ready and spill your rage with San & the rest of the crew! In preparation for the session, San has the following prompts for you:
🥀 Take the time to think about your favourite villains (from film, tv, musicals, history?).
🥀 Wear black (or other funeral colours), so we can host a little funeral for the things we hate.
We can’t wait to see you on Wednesday, July 16th for the fifth session. It is happening at Fairfield City Headquarters (@fairfieldcityhq) at the Vic Winton Community Room from 6-8pm. Drop in when you can, or attend every session. No experience required. These workshops are free, but please register your attendance via the link in our bio!
