The song was written by Tom Higgenson after meeting Delilah DiCrescenzo, an Americancross country runner, through a mutual friend around 2002.

Misirlou - Midereranean folk tune.

Before it became a surf-rock anthem and the main theme for the Pulp Fiction movie, Misirlou was well known across the Eastern Mediterranean, shaped by Greek, Turkish, Arab and Jewish musical traditions.
