Safeguarding childhood is a shared responsibility.

Preventing childhood sexual violence is not the work of one organisation alone. It calls for collective action from families, communities, institutions, governments, and the private sector.

At Arpan, we believe prevention is possible when we work together and when we change the way we talk about child safety. With this belief, we are proud to support Growing Up Safe, a newly launched narrative and messaging guide by @tozeroorg co-developed with Spitfire Strategies.

The guide offers practical tools to help organisations shift narratives from reaction to prevention, from fear to solutions, and from silence to collective action. It reminds us that the stories we tell shape what people believe is possible.

By choosing hopeful, prevention-focused narratives, we can reduce stigma, inspire action, and move closer to a world where every child grows up safe.

📣 Last week, SRA Network Coordinator @jujuca1987 took part in a @tozeroorg skills-strengthening session in #Paris, focused on reframing narratives around child sexual violence.

The session created space to engage deeply with Growing Up Safe — To Zero’s narrative guide to prevent child sexual violence — and to explore ethical storytelling practices grounded in prevention, solutions, collective action, and hope.

These conversations also resonate strongly within the sport context, where discussions about abuse and violence are often avoided or pushed to the margins. Shifting this narrative means clearly communicating why #SafeSport matters and affirming sport as a space that dignifies the experiences of all participants. Achieving this requires collective responsibility and sustained action to confront the systemic nature of abuse in sport. ⚽

✨ Two years ago, we gathered to dream of a different future for children. The To Zero journey began.

In October 2023, in Cheshunt, stakeholders from around the world came together for the first time to imagine a world free from sexual violence.

From there, 12 workshops held across 8 countries brought together 330+ leaders from 50+ organizations to create not just a vision, but a roadmap to get there.

Today is World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, an international day of observance to raise awareness of human trafficking and promote the protection of the rights of trafficking victims. According to the @unitednations, one in every three trafficking victims globally is a child. No society should accept that.
