I had a blast in Nashville, I spent quality time with family and my bestie and I attended a book signing and gleaned from the Billionaire Robert F. Smith . Check out his new book on Amazon. It’s powerful.

The @americanblackfilmfestival ‘s epic white party deserves its own post ( check the last photo) . The music was off the chain, it took me back to my college years , and the D j played today’s hits and everything in between. I met and hung with some amazing writers, directors, actresses, and all-around professionals. #1 even the streets were lined with white on my way to the party, #3 an amazing director from South Africa. #4 an amazing film professional from Chicago. #5 an amazing director of the awesome documentary on Tubi behind the Clippers and another amazing filmmaker and music artist. # 7 an awesome film professional that actually lives in my city 😮#9 the party was so epic. I woke up with a gray hair. Everything turned white. 🥴

If you haven’t watched Kings of Jo’Burg on Netflix then you’re missing out. I just finished season 3 and Iwas on the Edge of my seat. I never knew what was coming next. I felt like I was right there with the characters experiencing everything . Shout out to the cast and crew and @samaddavis for directing and executive producing such an amazing show!!

My boy the Director, Filmmaker, Writer, Producer, and Actor put on one of the most epic parties. A #metgala themed birthday party. I was dressed as one of the characters from @shondarhimes Rhimes critically acclaimed show The Residence on Netflix; Det. Cordelia Cupp; adorned with birds, binoculars, and a tweed styled top. The birthday honoree just so happened to have both of his wardrobe changes to correlate with last night’s met gala. I think he’s destined to attend next year!!! Happy birthday friend

Late post but last weekend was a dream. Thank you to the amazing Kristi Woodard and the wonderful team at the Robinson Film Center in Shreveport, La . My film was screened at thee CineNOIR: Black Voices In Filmfestival among other amazing films, AT A SOLD OUT SHOW!!! Kristi is the curator and director of the festival. Her work in the film industry and the Shreveport arts community is heartfelt and has amazing quality. Wade Hampton Marshall thanks again for for connecting me to the wonderful filmmakers of Shreveport and being so encouraging and welcoming. Here are 10 reasons why you should apply and /or attend this film festival next year.

1. There’s was not a competitive spirit amongst the filmmakers. It was all love. We were all just there to share our work and ecourage each other.

2. The variety of films represented were vast. There was something for everyone. Difference genres and experience levels.

3. Nickel Boys was shown, this film was only available in select markets but this film festival was a place that you could get access to this film.

4. Your all access pass gets you into all events for the week long festival.

5. It’s a filmmakers film festival. Independent filmmakers can learn alot from Q&A’s that feature filmmakers who’ve screens at festivals like Cannes etc.

6. It’s a safe space…. For everyone. The films ignited lots of questions and we had great discussions.

7. Shreveport is a welcoming city. Great customer service and great food is not hard to find.

8. You’d be supporting black a historic locally ran theatre. The Robinson film center is not like any other theatre. With an amazing restaurantAbby Singer’s Bistrolead by Chef Niema DiGrazia who is native to Sierra Leone, West Africa. The food is familiar with an elevated taste.

9. You can buy individual passes for just the events that you want to attend if you can’t do the entire week .

10. Throughout the week culturally iconic films from the past were shown on the big screen. Films that will inspire you to laugh, cry, seek justice, and love !!!
