As soon as the Britney Birthday ended last year, I already knew what my theme would be for 34. The Disney classics have always been a huge part of my life. I also knew everyone had a love for them and could easily tap into their inner child to get into this theme. But I didn’t want to just do the classics, I wanted the theme to be Disney Villains!

Who is my favorite Disney Villain? None other than The Sea Witch! Ursula’s over the top personality and larger than life presence always stood out to me as child. Her confidence and humor is also a reason she’s my favorite!

When it came time for @AlexBurnsFX to start drawing concept art, he asked me what I loved about both versions of Ursula. I loved that legendary drag Queen Divine inspired the original look of Ursula for the 1989 film so I definitely wanted her look to inspire this as well.

Pat Carrol’s performance in the original film with just with her voice brought out the confidence of the look too. The sass had to be there.

I also loved the sleeves in 2023 film by costume design legend Colleen Atwood.

When Alex mentioned about collaborating with @AmberMichaelArt on the costume and makeup I was immediately on board. Like Alex, Amber’s attention to detail has never been overlooked. Watching her and Alex team up on this was nothing short of inspiring.

@LoganTobia perfectly sculpted the prosthetic and really captured the spirit of Ursula from the 1989 film. Her sneaky playful smile along with a pointed nose were easily recognizable as to who this was before the makeup was even applied.

Once everything was on, it was easy for me to get into character. I had the best time portraying Ursula and could not have done it without the Incredible talents of the team to transform into her. I am grateful that they all wanted to be a part of this and also grateful they are in my life! Thank you to Alex, Amber, Logan & Andy for making my Ursula dream a reality.

As soon as the Britney Birthday ended last year, I already knew what my theme would be for 34. The Disney classics have always been a huge part of my life. I also knew everyone had a love for them and could easily tap into their inner child to get into this theme. But I didn’t want to just do the classics, I wanted the theme to be Disney Villains!

Who is my favorite Disney Villain? None other than The Sea Witch! Ursula’s over the top personality and larger than life presence always stood out to me as child. Her confidence and humor is also a reason she’s my favorite!

When it came time for @AlexBurnsFX to start drawing concept art, he asked me what I loved about both versions of Ursula. I loved that legendary drag Queen Divine inspired the original look of Ursula for the 1989 film so I definitely wanted her look to inspire this as well.

Pat Carrol’s performance in the original film with just with her voice brought out the confidence of the look too. The sass had to be there.
