CreativeZero at the BFDG awards last weekend. We are delighted to be a sponsor of the awards again.

We have been working closely with the BFDG on a three-year Carbon Reduction Plan. We have delivered their first audit and we are working with them to reduce their impact year on year with a series of easy-to-achieve actions and verified offsetting.

We have also helped them develop their new Planet Positive Award
supported by Universal Pixels. The new award, which has been developed in association with albert and Creative Zero, is an important milestone in the Art Department’s commitment to do more to champion environmental sustainability in its work and is part of the Film and TV industry’s commitment to supporting society’s transition to a sustainable future.
The award went to the Art Department of the Apple TV mini-series ‘The Essex Serpent’ where filming locations were adapted from existing buildings and locations and sets were built that could be reused again, or given another lease of life in an alternative form.

the great team at @pixipixeluk posted this news earlier today.we are very proud to be working with them and helping them reach their sustainability goals. 💪💪. We are excited to share that after participating for the first time in the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) climate change survey, Pixipixel has received a ‘Management’ score, placing us among the businesses taking coordinated action on climate issues.

CDP is a global non-profit organisation that annually monitors the performance of companies, cities, states and regions in the fight against climate change. Our debut rating shows that Pixipixel is amongst 30% of companies that reached B level in our category i.e., businesses that work on managing their environmental impact.

While this is a great recognition of our sustainability efforts, the insightful process inspired many new ideas and plans to action in 2023. If you are curious to find out more, check out our environmental and sustainability practices and policies at pixipixel.com/sustainability.

The direct consumption of fuel accounts for approximately 50% of the carbon footprint of a film production.
Film London and Creative Zero are extremely excited to announce that we have collaborated on a research project called the Fuel Project Supplier Guidance Report.
Our intention is that this report can not only support suppliers in the industry by giving up-to-date, well-researched information into the opportunities and challenges of transitioning to low-carbon travel and generator technologies but crucially act as a stepping stone towards long-term collaboration in the industry on these key issues.
Our aim is that this report is the first stage in what we see as a longer-term Fuel Project, which brings together key stakeholders in the industry to support suppliers throughout the transition ahead.
As the film and TV production industry continues through a phase of substantial growth in the capital, now is the time to explore pathways to rapidly reduce emissions from the sector’s vehicles and generators.
