⚽ If you don’t quite know how to connect with the abstraction of instrumental music, there’s a pair of tracks “Panenka” and “Rabona” which refer to football techniques. (That’s soccer to anyone in North America.) “Panenka” is when, during a penalty kick, the shooter floats the ball into the centre of the goal, deceiving any goalkeeper that has committed to a dive into the left or right corner of the net. The technique was introduced by Czech football player Antonín Panenka in 1976. We made a video for it🇨🇿

🥁 “Panenka” is also a concise earworm based around a tangle of horn samples and repeating drum patterns.

🎛️ “Rabona” one of the most direct and up-tempo tracks on the album.

Both good starting points.

This was SO MUCH FUN!!! @kresnick and I jumping on with @mattberninger and band last night in São Paulo. Their whole set was a blast and they sounded absolutely freaking GREAT! @sterlinglaws patrickobrien @ronboymusic @ricc_jamzz And heyyyyy @hans_christian_superlandman !!!

This was such a blast, a lovely garden party of a day, like the closing party after many, many beautiful hours of producing this record with @florahibberd and it’s all so excited that the first song “Mammoth” is out! Nice work everyone and especially nice work Flora and @adamthomashoward for putting this video together with @victorclaass @lonnymusic_ @beverlynills @attentionpleasemusic @hannahmiette @thisisthekit
