Come celebrate the release of Water is a Shifting Mirror and ring in my birthday on March 13 at Allan Gardens Children’s Conservatory! I wrote this album in the cold spring months and so it feels especially right to share this work right before the solstice. Many of the field recordings from the album were taken in March - the most death coded month but always with the hope of something new - where the stillness of frozen waters transform into the rushing onslaught of melting snow. What a perfect time to hold, experience, and release.

Diving from starlit heights to ocean depths, Cousin’s echoes step through tempos and styles while summoning surreal sonic landscapes centered in spacious atmospherics, subterranean bass pressure and rhythmic hypnotisms. Hailing from Australia, Cousin channels the local flora, infusing his work with their variegated vibrancy. Now found on constant rotation of both hemispheres, creating indelible memories and weaving magical dancefloor moments through clubs and festivals across North America, UK, Europe and Asia. 🌐
