🏃♂️ Leaning in to all the work I put in this winter, and continuing to build on that base 🤘 I got a cool project I’m launching in the next two weeks and hope to share some miles together if anyone is down… more to come soon!

@sara.hoenes asked me the other day what one of my favorite hikes we’ve done was, and it got me thinking about all the hiking adventures we’ve had over the years 😊 Here’s to many more memories and miles together ✨

A little teaser from a short film I’ve been working on called “Theater of Dreams.” Ive been taking way too long with it haha but, I’m excited to share the full video soon, and share my experience from a week in Chamonix, France last summer. More to come! 🤘

🧗 I’m definitely no @deanpotter but it has been a blast doing some climbing again 😊 I’ve found it sort of healing to add some fun sports to training blocks. It sort of resets the body in a strange way. So, a little climbing is getting added to the routine and it’s just been so much fun to be on rock, even if it’s just me over gripping for a few hours 😂

#cocanalTowpath — I can honestly say that was a blast :)
I was hoping for a bit more, but 115 miles in 33 hours was one hell of an effort. Whenever I tell people about projects like this, I often hear, “that’s insane.” And I guess the short answer is—yeah, it is.
But what I really love about these efforts goes deeper than that. It’s not just the adventure—it’s creating space to wonder, to problem-solve, and to figure out how to do something that feels just out of reach. We’re capable of so much more than we think, and I love exploring that edge.
As Jimmy Chin says, “commit and then figure it out.”
I’ll probably give the C&O another go. But for now, I’m excited to shift toward some new projects and just spend time having fun outside—while continuing to sharpen the tools to come back stronger next time 😊
None of this would have been possible though without the support of my incredible wife @sara.hoenes - thank you for believing in me and always supporting me no matter the idea 🙏 And the progress I’ve made recently wouldn’t have happened without the coaching and support from Sam Naney at @cascadeendurance - you guys absolutely rock and I can’t thank you enough! 🤘
And of course, to the two guys who have been there through nearly every attempt— @the_jake_sawyer and Chandler—you’re the best crew team a guy could ask for. I can’t thank you enough and cherish all our adventures together 🤙
Until the next one… 🏃

🔭 It’s been so much fun witnessing the journey of @nasaartemis that it had me feeling inspired and thinking about painting once again. Over the years I tried to do one space painting a year and have loved adding to this slow growing body of work. So, here’s a glimpse at some of that work starting from 2009-2022. I can’t wait to share more in years to come 😊
All works were created by me and include oil on canvas, acrylic on paper; ink & linseed oil on paper & original photography
