“multidisciplinary texturework”
As I lay here ridden with the flu I too want to make a little post welcoming this new year. By giving thanks to the one that has past
(Although I am a touch superstitious and hesitate to say it, fearing I will jinx myself)…. when I look back at the year as a whole, I can’t help but face the line: “things get better”. And I believe that releasing myself..as much as I can…from what doesn’t matter *to me*, has aided this whole thing of things getting better. So much doesn’t matter! And so much matters SO MUCH. Wow so profound
What matters to me is true joy, love, and ✨wonder✨. Going back to drink from that well, and trusting the water there.
I feel lucky and grateful

Last Friday was the opening of my show, Drawn North: Portraits in Texture at @igca_alaska in Anchorage, Alaska (on view til 9/26)
14 pieces rendered from my winter stint as an artist in residence w/ @akstateparks in Feb + March of this year
It was such an honor to come back & show these works in Alaska.
Not only that, but 3 friends came for the ride. Rly special :~)

The timing of all these things happening all at the same time... next thing I knew it was time to pack these up and fly over to install the show. It’s been a blur of a few months tbh! I’m grateful for finding love in places and people, finding peace in my studio while working on these pieces, and feeling support. I would crumble without it and would not have been able to pull it together and finish this series without the help I got along the way. <3
