“multidisciplinary texturework”

As I lay here ridden with the flu I too want to make a little post welcoming this new year. By giving thanks to the one that has past
(Although I am a touch superstitious and hesitate to say it, fearing I will jinx myself)…. when I look back at the year as a whole, I can’t help but face the line: “things get better”. And I believe that releasing myself..as much as I can…from what doesn’t matter *to me*, has aided this whole thing of things getting better. So much doesn’t matter! And so much matters SO MUCH. Wow so profound
What matters to me is true joy, love, and ✨wonder✨. Going back to drink from that well, and trusting the water there.
I feel lucky and grateful
Happy new year ꩜

Last Friday was the opening of my show, Drawn North: Portraits in Texture at @igca_alaska in Anchorage, Alaska (on view til 9/26)
14 pieces rendered from my winter stint as an artist in residence w/ @akstateparks in Feb + March of this year
It was such an honor to come back & show these works in Alaska.
Not only that, but 3 friends came for the ride. Rly special :~)
Ty Alaska! Ty AK State Parks! Ty IGCA! Ty friends!
I will be updating my site soon so the series can be seen by any of u, anywhere¡
~
So many thoughts n feelings around presenting this show. spring & summer was a wild time.. and quite difficult, frankly. Due to life stuff, family stuff, brain stuff. The timing of all these things happening all at the same time... next thing I knew it was time to pack these up and fly over to install the show. It’s been a blur of a few months tbh! I’m grateful for finding love in places and people, finding peace in my studio while working on these pieces, and feeling support. I would crumble without it and would not have been able to pull it together and finish this series without the help I got along the way. <3
alaska pics soon we had a moose of a time
~
each piece is on plywood mounted yupo paper. all 20x26 & matte varnished. the media used varies between each piece, but to generalize: earth pigments, powdered charcoal & graphite, sumi & india inks, diy washes w/ salt & vinegar, veg glycerine, shellac soap

unofficial official news that has dragged me back to posting on instagram:
More about this a little later but !absolutely elated! to share that this September, my !solo! exhibition, “Drawn North: Portraits in Texture”, is opening at @igca_alaska in Anchorage, Alaska.
The show presents a body of realized work developed from my time as an artist in residence with Alaska State Parks this past February.
On foot daily, and very much “out there”, I took note of visual details that caught my attention, with sketches studies splatters etc whathaveyou, with the intention to explore & spotlight them further by making ..portraits, in texture.
Here are some of my “notes” I took in the field~
x
Thank you Hal, Wendy, Alex, The International Gallery of Contemporary Art in Anchorage, and the Alaska State Parks Artist in Residence program.
See u soon

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
Keep track of Instagram updates discreetly while protecting your privacy and staying anonymous.
View profiles and photos anonymously with ease using the Private Profile Viewer.
This free tool allows you to view Instagram Stories anonymously, ensuring your activity remains hidden from the story uploader.
Anonstories lets users view Instagram stories without alerting the creator.

Prioritizes secure, anonymous browsing without requiring login credentials.
Users can view public stories by simply entering a username—no account needed.
