Sound on 🔊
Spent a Saturday walking around Melbourne filming pedestrian crossing buttons.
That sound’s been living in my head for years.
You’ve heard it. Now you can see it.

I recently had the honour and privilege to create the video for @greenpeaceap Forests campaign.
It was a huge undertaking and a very ambitious vision, but through hundreds of hours and dedication we managed to make it reality.
I’m extremely grateful to all the crafts people and artists who contributed their skills and talents to this production and brought this important message to the screen in such a meaningful way.
I’m also very grateful to the team at Greenpeace for trusting me with their campaign video and giving me the creative freedom to make something that I hope motivates and engages audiences to take action to protect our forests and native animals.
With gratitude, Dropbear 🐨

Revisiting this film today.
Australia has now ratified the Global Ocean Treaty opening the door to protecting vast areas of the high seas, including places like the Tasman Sea.
This piece was made with @greenpeaceap to highlight the hidden cost of longlining on blue sharks and other marine life.
It’s nice to know the work could help raise awareness and play even a small part in a much bigger movement.

Step inside the mind of our Director from down under, @dropbear
In-camera magic, thoughtful design, and a touch of whimsy, that’s the sweet spot.
This spot for Xero strikes every one of those chords.

As the year is almost over I thought I’d share a project that I helped create for Xero at the start of the year.
A combination of paper craft, stop motion and 3D motion graphics. Brought to life with a team of talented artists such as cinematographer @trickatech and the crafty diva herself @okaykiosk and thanks to the legend Matt @yelldesign for the use of his laser cutter and studio space. The custom cut acrylic rigs were a lifesaver!! keep the craft alive!!!

I recently came across an article in The Age that hit hard.
“We are hurtling toward climate chaos. The planet’s vital signs are flashing red. The consequences of human-driven alterations of the climate are no longer future threats but are here now.”
That line resonated deeply. It echoes the same truth behind my Temperature Rise film from the No Place Like Home series where we created a series of films inspired by NASA’s Vital Signs climate data, all made entirely in camera.
We built a miniature room inside a rotating globe, set it alight, and captured it with real fire and practical effects a visual metaphor for a world heating beyond control.
The warning signs are no longer distant. The planet’s vital signs are on red alert.

Anonstories oferuje doskonałe rozwiązanie do ukrywania swojej tożsamości.
