Projects, tests and outtakes
"So good to see behind the curtains" was something we heard more than once at our recent Open Studio event.
We love showing our finished commercials but this event was about celebrating the detailed, tactile, human process behind them.
Some things only click when you can touch them.
We're planning another Open Studio soon but if you can't wait til then and you'd like us to bring our show-and-tell to your creative team, get in touch.

It was a dark and stormy night, but a big thank you to everyone who braved the rain and made it to our Open Studio event!
It was an evening of great questions and passionate answers. It was lovely to see the magic happen for our guests as they clicked their first keyframes and made things move.
We're planning another Open Studio soon, hopefully without the rain. However if you can't wait til then and you'd like us to bring our show-and-tell to your creative team, get in touch.

It’s a great privilege to be photographing and archiving this rare and vintage collection of ye olde world medicinal bottles for the #nhaa Naturopaths and Herbalists Association of Australia. @nhaa.est1920 #artdirection #stills #screencraft #stopmotion
Graded stills from the recent BMF Australia, helium.film and VANDAL, Peter Nizic directed this charming Back to School ad campaign for Tip Top Bakeries. Blending live-action and stop-motion animation, we created practical, in-camera visual effects and animated sequences to tell the whimsical story of Esme’s sensational sandwich creation. With a flick of the wrist, Mum solves each of Esme’s spontaneous whims with ease, kicking off the school day with joy and wonder.

Everything on screen, built by hand.
Every flame, every flood, every wisp of smoke in No Place Like Home was captured in-camera — inside a hand-built globe that became both a set and a metaphor.
This Behind the Scenes takes you from the first sketches to 3D printing and painting the models, through to the three shoot days at Dropbear Studios where we brought it all to life.
At the heart of it was craft: the patience of miniature building, the precision of practical effects, and the artistry of cinematographer @trickatech , who shaped every frame with light and movement.
We built these films with Greenpeace and Photoplay to humanise NASA’s climate “vital signs.” A reminder that the planet isn’t an abstract idea — it’s our home. And there’s no place like home.

When the house is on fire, we don’t sit back and say “everything is fine.”
This final film in my No Place Like Home series for Greenpeace is about global temperature rise. Probably my favourite of the three — because for this one, we literally set the model on fire.
Inspired by the infamous meme of the dog calmly sipping coffee in a burning kitchen, we built our own miniature room inside a globe and let the flames take over.
All shot in-camera, using hand-crafted sets and practical effects, created in collaboration with @photoplayfilms and Greenpeace.

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
