Staying in huts off of side roads without names, hiking with gear in cartoonishly deep snow, finding glaciers instead of caves we had set out for, loading film in the airport and in the back of a minivan, shooting stop motion on a 16mm camera while counting the revolutions of the mirror and carrying around a styrofoam dog through Alberta’s most beautiful mountains.
