Currently on the loom during my Interlace residency: an experimental weave built from waste yarns, offcuts, tangled fibers, and leftover materials.

I’m interested in what happens when discarded threads are given new structure—how accumulation, repetition, and tension can transform remnants into something whole.

One of the things I love most about Interlace is seeing how many artists use textile structures — weaving, knotting, stitching, netting — to transform rigid systems into something deeply human and alive.

My residency at 2413 Hyperion continues these ideas through open studio weaving, dyeing, beading, and process-based experimentation throughout the exhibition.

What a special opening on Saturday! Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate INTERLACE. The energy of this opening stood out, and it’s because of you.

Deep gratitude to our partners @textileartsla, and to co-curators @liz_robb and @caitlin_a_parker for bringing this vision to life with such care and intention. To all 20 artists whose work fills the walls, thank you for trusting us with your pieces. This show is a testament to the depth and vibrancy of fiber-based art in Los Angeles.

And to the dear friends of @2413hyperion, you keep showing up, and it means everything. Every single time. 🧡

The show continues through May 30 and there’s still much ahead. Come back, bring someone new, and stay connected. @liz_robb will be keeping the space active as artist-in-residence throughout the month, working on-site during weekday open hours. New exhibition opening next Saturday, May 2nd at 2413 Hyperion!

We’re proud to partner with @textileartsla to present INTERLACE: TEXTILE CONNECTIONS IN LOS ANGELES, co-curated by Liz Robb (@liz_robb) and Caitlin Parker (@caitlin_a_parker). This show brings together 20 Los Angeles-based artists working across weaving, knotting, stitching, felting, basketry, and surface design, exploring how fiber-based practices hold and transmit meaning through material, memory, and community.

Co-curator Liz Robb will also maintain an on-site artist residency throughout the month, activating the gallery as a working studio open to the public during open hours.
