Overnight shoots are a familiar yet chaotic part of the filmmaking process. Just one night scene can mean days (or nights) of filming. It requires resetting your entire internal rhythm, sleeping during the day and fighting the exhaustion during those early hours. It’s enough to make anyone feel out of it, including our Some Time Later cast and crew.

It’s moments like these that make our industry special. Every set is different, every experience creates bonds and brings people together. We do it because we love it, despite the lack of sleep😴

For the indie micro-budget short SOME TIME LATER, Executive Producer writer and actress @itsnotemery approached Solana Productions to make her screenplay on a self-funded budget.

To achieve this every producer on this film wore other important hats.
@erinhour doubled as Production Designer, @3rl3rl tripled up as casting director and Sound Designer/Mixer, @connorthomasla doubled as Production Manager, and @sheabutterpro was one of the earliest on the project and was our fearless director.

Independent film making isn't a science it's an art of collaboration and teamwork. We squeezed every bit of production value we could get onto the frame and we think it shows.

The numbers and stats of a film are only a part of the story, the work, effort, blood, sweat and tears to work as a collaborative team is the beating heart of passion projects like this.

Truthfully whoever produced this wouldn't have mattered if we didn't have the amazing crew that worked alongside us. While a few producers got us to set, this production was only possible through the dedication and talent of the crew.
