I built another meditation app.
After leaving my old app 15 months ago, I was convinced I wouldn’t ever do this again. But I started listening to you—really listening. And you told me what was missing from most of the other meditation apps out there.
Most of them are just content libraries where you practice alone. But meditation was meant to be done in community. That “social support” is what makes habits stick. Without it, people fall off the wagon.
So we built something different: “10% with Dan Harris.” Yes, we have guided meditations and my podcast ad-free. But also weekly live sessions and real community where you can interact with me, teachers, my team, and each other.
Paid subscribers to danharris.com are already in. Everyone else gets a 30-day free trial.
Joseph Goldstein’s leading a 7-day New Year’s challenge starting January 5th. It’s a masterclass in dealing with the general insanity of being alive.

Hemingway said this as a joke but he's not wrong, sleep is one of the few genuinely healthy things accessible to us all.. The problem is most of us are terrible at it. Good news is, if you need some help sleeping, all the new Sleep Week meditations are still in the 10% app library. Do yourself a favor, go check them out and get some sleep. Link in bio.
I recently went to Grand Central Terminal to ask people how they’re finding connection these days in New York City.
One thing I kept hearing?
Meeting people is exhausting right now.
Covid changed us. Dating and going out with friends costs too much. And when connection doesn’t happen right away, it’s easy to feel the cost isn’t worth it.
So I decided to give away two free tickets to my next “Connected Lives” event at @92ndstreety with @DanHarris - this Sunday, May 17th! 💛 Because it’s one little thing I can do to help! ;)

Do you reach for your phone in the middle of the night? And have you ever stopped to notice how it actually makes you feel? Mindfulness teacher Cara Lai has a simple practice: pay attention to how your body feels while you're on the screen, then put it down and compare. You might be surprised by what you notice.
And there's still time to check out Sleep Week on the 10% app. It's been awesome seeing the community come together around something we all could use a little more of. IPMF
I recently conducted an experiment in Grand Central Terminal: I asked people how they’re finding connection in today’s world — and then I gave away tickets to my next “Connected Lives” event this Sunday at @92ndstreety.
Not one ticket per person… but two. Because connection is easier when you bring someone with you! 💛
One of the best pieces of advice I heard?
“Forget the apps. Do what you enjoy — and the people who enjoy those same things will find you.”
And that’s exactly what’s revealed in this video: A night seeing @claybourneelder perform at @54Below brought two people together.
What started as a quick conversation turned into a beautiful story about community, openness, and yes… Sparkly Eyes ✨
And on May 17th at 92NY, I’m excited to continue this conversation with @DanHarris, author of 10% Happier and host of the 10% Happier podcast.

@danharris shares three steps to beginning mindfulness meditation. Sit comfortably and relax. The goal is to notice every time you get distracted and focus back on your breath.
“You’re training the brain to wake up. It’s like a bicep curl for your brain.”
Do you use melatonin? Or are you thinking about taking it in the future?
The science on sleep supplements is murkier than the label suggests — but if you really want to get your sleep under control, head to the 10% app. We are dropping six days of sleep-focused content, 10 new sleep meditations added to the library, a special live session, podcast episodes featuring some of the world's leading sleep experts, and a community coming together around something we all could use a little more of. It's happening right now. IPMF.
For the full #10percenthappier podcast episode with Dr. Mahtab Jafari — Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences at UC Irvine, Director of the UCI Center for Healthspan Sciences, and author of The Truth About Dietary Supplements — head to the @apple podcast app. We discuss what the science actually says about supplements, longevity, and how to make smarter decisions about what you put in your body. A Mother’s Day happiness thought…
(Those pictures, by the way, are of my own mom [and a baby Dan, already showing a Buddha belly] and my wife, Bianca.)
In Buddhism, a mother‘s love is held up as the exemplar of the capacity we all have for goodwill. I used to think maybe I was deficient in this regard—that perhaps I was uniquely selfish. That was until I discovered the science showing that benevolence (or friendliness, or what Buddhists call “loving-kindness”) is not only a skill, but also something that can reduce anxiety and elevate mood.
But moms, don’t forget: you can’t leave yourself out of your own circle of care. Self-care, or whatever you want to call it, isn’t selfish. It helps you help others.
Xx

Happy Mother's Day to all the mom’s out there. If you're lucky enough to still have your mom around, call her. Don’t text. Call. Also, today we're kicking off Sleep Week in the 10% app with a new meditation from Cara Lai, basically permission to stop trying so hard to fall asleep. Give it to a mom you love. Or keep it for yourself. IPMF.
The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
Keep track of Instagram updates discreetly while protecting your privacy and staying anonymous.
View profiles and photos anonymously with ease using the Private Profile Viewer.
This free tool allows you to view Instagram Stories anonymously, ensuring your activity remains hidden from the story uploader.
