This is the Queerty Interview, where we bring you conversations with the most exciting LGBTQ+ voices in entertainment, activism, and beyond.
Known for her sharp impressions and viral Kamala Harris videos, Allison has quickly become one of the most recognizable comedic voices online. Her work blends satire, identity, and cultural commentary, striking a balance between humor and insight during a particularly intense political moment.
In this conversation, Allison reflects on the unexpected rise of her Kamala impression, the whirlwind of going viral, and how she navigates the line between comedy and responsibility. She also shares how her personal experiences, including dating, identity, and creative experimentation, shape her work both online and off.
For this interview, Allison sat down with Queerty’s Maria Tridas to talk about her comedy origins, the impact of internet fame, and why she believes comedy is evolving rather than disappearing. Follow the link in bio to read more.

On today’s episode of Are Straight Men OK?, the answer is probably not.
Although, if this question a heterosexual dude recently submitted to the “Ask a Cleveland Sex Therapist” column on the Scene is any indication, maybe, one day, they will be.
It all started with LGBTQ+ sex therapist Matt Lachman and a nervous anonymous writer with an interest in — what else? — pegging. Follow the link in bio to read more.

Jack Schlossberg has ripped Ryan Murphy‘s depiction of his late uncle as “grotesque” and “stupid.” But in a twist, the popularity of Love Story may be a primary factor in the Kennedy scion’s sudden political ascendance.
This midterm season, there is a wide open congressional seat in the heart of Manhattan. Stretching from Union Square through Central Park, New York 12 is home to more Fortune 500 companies, millionaires and cultural landmarks than anywhere in the country. There at least seven Democrats running to replace Rep. Jerry Nadler, one of Congress’ liberal lions and a West Side fixture. Follow the link in bio to read more.

While Tr*mp cabinet members rush to the finish line of an unofficial “who can humiliate themselves the worst” contest, Marco Rubio makes a surprise move up from the rear thanks to footage of the Secretary of State DJ’ing at a friend’s wedding this weekend.
Well… sort of. Rubio didn’t so much DJ as put on headphones and press play on a queued up song from 2011. Follow the link in bio to read more.

At Queerty, we pride ourselves on being a queer media company by queer folks and for queer folks. But we know that’s not the case for everybody!
When discussing Heated Rivalry‘s popularity, one theme that kept coming up was the show’s happy ending. Ilya Rozanov (Connor Storrie) and Shane Hollander (Hudson Williams) didn’t spend the season’s waning moments beside each other in the hospital or crying their eyes out. Instead, they rode off into the sunset–literally.
The message is clear: gay people are sick of the tragic life story. That got us to thinking… there must be other gay stereotypes that people are tired of seeing! The gay best friend? The nerdy teen? The tormented closet case? The caricatures are endless!
This week, we want to know: What’s a gay trope in media that you’re tired of seeing and why? Share your response below… and don’t be shy! We will publish the best responses!

The trans road trip genre is older and more expansive than you might think.
Even in the 90s, long before we could count on meaningful trans representation in any area, we had breakout mainstream films that placed trans bodies in perilous cross-country journeys without dwelling on the potential for trauma.
Instead, these movies—both then and now—focus on the joy of trans travel. During a moment that’s made the idea of hitting the open road increasingly fraught for trans travelers, let’s take a glance at the films that did it well and left us with a serious case of wanderlust.

"I think it’s important for communities to represent themselves in entertainment, in the arts, because nobody can tell your story better than you,” - Joel Kim Booster (@ihatejoelkim).

With a thumping house beat, Sabrina Carpenter, and a winking knowledge of where “the bodies are buried,” Madonna’s new single “Bring Your Love” is everything the gays wanted and more.
And as the latest taste of Confessions II, the song spells out exactly how the album plans to continue the work of its predecessor Confessions on a Dance Floor: by traveling back even further in time.
Gays, forget 2005 — Madonna is transporting us to the Detroit club in 1988, when the divos and divas alike were truly living the “Good Life.”
According to the liner notes, “Bring Your Love” directly samples “Good Life” by Inner City, and even credits original writer Roy Holman and Inner City producer and composer Kevin Saunderson as songwriters alongside Madge, Stuart Price, and Shanna Jackson. Follow the link in bio to read more.

With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
