Sprouting Sparks
At Sprouting Sparks, we're on a mission to ignite financial curiosity in young minds and nurture the growth of money-savvy individuals 🧠

Thank You David Newell and John Masiulionis for reviewing my books, Keys To My Heart and Garage Sale Goldmine, and having me as your guest on the 5th Anniversary of your Neighborly Reviews Bookcast during Financial Literacy Month.
I was honored to be in the midst of such an icon and legend from the long running (33 years) Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood who was awarded the Children’s & Family Emmy Gold Circle award for his enduring contribution to children’s television—a true milestone for me. He helped generations grow with kindness, curiosity, and practical life lessons through children’s programming.
Fun fact: The Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History houses the outfit worn by Mr. McFeely (David Newell) along with Mr. Rogers’ famous red cardigan.
Check out their review and my interview with them at https://youtu.be/Xht4khqfQzw?feature=shared
Happy National Financial Literacy Month and thanks for your continued support!

In the quiet spaces where childhood meets challenge, one thing still holds steady. ✨
A story. 📖
When the world feels unfamiliar, when emotions feel too big to name, when families are navigating more than any child should have to understand—stories don’t just fill silence. They bring it into focus. They soften the edges. 🫶
For children. For parents. For families in the middle of uncertainty. 👪🏻🙏🏻👪🏿
Stories become connection when words fall short. 🫂
Some open the door to understanding the world ahead—building early confidence around choice, value, & responsibility in simple, human ways. 🔑
Others help children move through the world they’re already in—offering comfort in grief, clarity in loss, and the reminder that love doesn’t disappear. ❤️🩹
Different stories. One purpose. To help children feel less alone in what they’re learning—and what they’re carrying. 💛
As part of the 5-Year Anniversary Celebration of @PRFromTheHeart's Neighborly Reviews Bookcast and our recent trolley stop in Pittsburgh, our @JohnMasiulionis visited@ChildrensPGH and donating copies of @SproutingSparks' award-winning FinTale$ series (Keys to My Heart, published by @Bear_With_Us_Productions, and Garage Sale Goldmine, published by @MiriamLaundryPublishing), along with his award-winning children's book, Walking Each Other Home–Zachary’s Mission: A Hospice for Children), to the hospital's Adopt-A-Book program—placing these resources of care directly into the hands of children & families who need them most. 🏥
Because sometimes, everything begins the same way—with a story finding its way in. 💫📚💫

Mother’s Day will always carry both immense love and longing for me.
This photo was from my last Mother’s Day with my mom. I was blessed to have such a loving, devoted, and faith-filled mother. She was a second mom to my husband and the most affectionate and adoring grandmother to our boys. Her love, grace, and guidance was a constant and still shapes who we are today.
The other photo is me with my two wonderful sons. They gave me the greatest title and position I’ll ever hold. Watching them grow into such thoughtful, loving, and hardworking young men reminds me that my mom’s greatest gift wasn’t just how she loved me, but what she taught me to pass on. I’m so grateful to God for them all!
Happy Mother’s Day! Today we celebrate your endless love, strength, and sacrifices that you make daily. Whether near or in heaven, you deserve to be remembered today and every day! 🤍💚💛🧡❤️💗

MONDAY MATH QUESTION:
Would you rather get $10,000 every day for a month, or one penny that doubles each day for a month? (Hint: it’s a trick question)
Pennies for the win!
After a month, the doubling penny grows to about $10,737,418.
The daily $10,000 adds up to about $310,000. So, the doubling penny earns about 35 times more.
What’s happening?
It’s compounding: you earn interest on the interest you’ve already earned.
What is compounding?
It’s money earning money over time.
The more you reinvest what you earn, the faster your money grows.
Tips to grow your savings (and investments) faster:
💰Reinvest what you earn instead of spending it all.
💵 Save more money to begin with.
📊 Let your money grow for a longer time.
📶 Look for good, steady return rates (the kind that keep growing over time).
💚 Bottom line for kids
Start small, be patient, and reinvest. Over time, compounding turns little savings into big growth.
💛 Bottom line for parents
Compound interest means you earn money on the money you’ve already earned. It’s often called the eighth wonder of the world because it can turn small amounts into substantial wealth. In practice, you boost growth by saving more, giving your money more time to grow, and seeking better investment options with higher returns.
As Albert Einstein said, “The most powerful force in the universe is compound interest.”

Today is Tax Day and also the 1-year anniversary of the launch of my very first FinTale$ series book, Keys To My Heart! 🎉
Through my FinTale$ series, we’ve already reached so many little hands, and we’re so thankful for the support that’s helping us reach even more. Here’s to planting more seeds of financial literacy, one child at a time.
Tax Day is a great time to expose kids to the concept of taxes and how we all help pay for the roads, schools, and services our communities need by having to pay taxes. Little learners can think of it as everyone pitching in to keep the neighborhood running.
Age-appropriate ways to explain Tax Day:
• Ages 4–6: “Taxes are when grown-ups give a little money to help take care of everyone’s neighborhood.”
• Ages 7–9: “Taxes help pay for things people in the community use, like schools, roads, libraries, and firefighters.”
• Ages 10–12: “Tax Day is the day adults file forms and send in money they owe to the government to help support public services.”
• Teens: “Taxes are part of how communities fund shared services and programs that benefit everyone.”
Happy Tax Day and thanks again for your continued support in spreading financial education to our youth! I’m so grateful for every read, share, review, and words of encouragement! Our goal is to keep growing so even more children can learn money lessons in a fun, simple way. 📚💰

This Financial Literacy Month, the National Financial Educators Council @nfec_finedu is introducing a national objective: Make Financial Education a Core Subject.
Until now, there has been no unifying objective guiding financial education policy across the country. State mandates vary widely; and all fall well below the academic standards applied to core subjects such as math, science, English, and social studies.
OBJECTIVES:
• Financial literacy should have the same standards, rigor, and accountability as math, science, English, and social studies.
• Elevating financial education would ensure students graduate ready to manage debt, save, compare education costs, achieve stability, and build financial independence.
• Create a framework where students would graduate only after demonstrating that they are capable of making informed financial decisions needed for their adult life.
Financial Literacy Month is the perfect time to raise the standards! Join Sprouting Sparks and others so that financial education is treated with the same seriousness as other core subjects!

Long before a child earns their first dollar, they’re already shaping their beliefs about money—whether it’s something to chase, fear, spend, or use with purpose. 💵
But when we guide those beliefs with intention—through everyday conversations and real-life moments—we begin to show kids how money truly works… not just what it can buy, but what it represents. 🧭
And so, one Wall Street–savvy mom is redefining how children understand money—transforming financial literacy into something they don’t just learn, but carry with them for life. 👦🏿👦🏽💸🙏🏻👧🏻👧🏽👧🏿
Join us in welcoming Shireen Eddleblute as the newest member of the @PRFromTheHeart family. 🤗
Having been raised by Indian immigrants, Shireen learned early on from her father that smart money choices can lead to a life of possibilities. His lessons inspired her to embark on a 20-year career in the world of investments, where she had some pretty exciting moments—like ringing the @NYSE bell not once, but twice! 👩🏾💰🛎️
As the founder of @SproutingSparks, Shireen mixes financial wisdom with a dash of motherly love to create engaging children’s books about financial literacy. ✨📚✨
In Keys to My Heart, the first book in Shireen's award-winning Fintale$ Series (published by @BearWithUsProductions), young readers follow Sahana, a determined young girl with a dream of owning a piano. When her family can’t afford it, she takes matters into her own hands—saving diligently and learning to give thoughtfully. Along the way, Sahana discovers that money is a tool that mirrors both discipline & heart. 🔑💗🔑
In Garage Sale Goldmine, the second installment of Shireen’s FinTale$ Series (published by @MiriamLaundryPublishing), brothers Benny & Eddy set their sights on a toy robot they can’t afford—and quickly learn that wanting something isn’t enough. Achieving it takes smart choices, careful trade-offs, and intentional action. As they solve problems, make wise decisions, and let go, they realize that the greatest reward goes far beyond the toy itself. 🤖
We encourage to support Shireen by getting your copies of Keys to My Heart and Garage Sale Goldmine via her official website (SproutingSparks.com) @Amazon. 📚

What percent of U.S. public high school students are currently required to take a personal finance course to graduate?
Answer: 34.7%
That number has doubled in the last 7 years and once all 30 states have implemented their requirements, an additional 45% of public high school students in the U.S. will be required to take a standalone Personal Finance course to graduate. That means by 2031, 76.3% of all high school students will have financial education access by the time they graduate. That’s making progress!
*Note: Actual numbers will vary based on the timing of implementation in individual
schools in each state.
A shoutout to Next Gen Personal Finance who is the #1 provider of personal finance curriculum and professional development for educators in the U.S.

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
