No girl should face the trauma and lifelong health risks of female genital mutilation (FGM).

Millions of girls are subjected to FGM every year, often before they turn the age of five.

No one should lose their rights because of their gender. FGM strips girls and women of their dignity and freedom.

FGM is a global issue and there is no safe form of it. It violates the rights to health, safety, and bodily autonomy.
