A znáte příběh o kameni Hypatia?
▸ ▸ ▸ Audiozáznam celého povídání si budete moci již brzy pustit jako podcast platformy Šum (@sumjournal). A nezapomeňte – dnes je poslední možnost setkat se v Galerii Rudolfinum s umělcem a oběma kurátorkami výstavy Beyond the City of Time! Komentovaná prohlídka v anglickém jazyce začíná v 18:00 a vstup na ni je volný.

👾 The most mysterious stone in the world, journeys into the unknown and beyond
Last night, together with artist Sahej Rahal, curators Edith Lázár and Eva Drexlerová, and CRASH talk moderator Tjaša Pogačar, we explored many corners of the human mind and also touched on the topic of its limits. What is it about the idea of encountering unknown beings that is so frightening to humans? Is the ability to communicate, as we understand it, universally valid? Could there be entities that transcend us and with whom it is impossible to connect? And do you know the story of the Hypatia stone?
▸ ▸ ▸ You’ll soon be able to listen to the full recording of this conversation as a podcast of the Šum platform (@sumjournal) And don’t forget – today is your last chance to meet the artist and both curators of the exhibition Beyond the City of Time at Galerie Rudolfinum! The guided tour in English begins at 6 pm, and admission is free.

PREDSTAVITEV PRAKSE IN POGOVOR Z NATÁLIO SÝKOROVO / ARTIST TALK AND A CONVERSATION WITH NATÁLIA SÝKOROVÁ
🔜27. 3. 2026
19.00, Švicarija
Vstop prost / Admission free
V sodelovanju z Zavodom Projekt Atol.
/
Natália Sýkorová is an artist whose practice engages with technological and ecological questions. Her multilayered projects emerge as ecologies in which performance, sculpture, embodied speculation, role-playing methodologies, technological and other interfaces, sound and non-linear storytelling interweave, often serving as points of departure and spaces for collaboration.
The conversation will introduce the questions and approaches that underpin her work, as well as a broader inquiry into how knowledge – and futures – can be produced differently. It will also consider how artistic practices can disrupt dominant narratives and propose alternative models of futurity. The conversation, which also serves as an introduction to a collective exhibition project to be shown in the autumn at Švicarija, will be moderated by Tjaša Pogačar.
In collaboration with Projekt Atol Institute.

𝐔𝐧𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐞 𝐕𝐨𝐥. 𝐈 & 𝐈𝐈 are officially out!
Read the double issue on ŠUM’s website or order your free copy at info@sum.si 📦
🌀Contributors in Volume I show how unreality becomes an operational mode. They follow the procedures—chemical, algorithmic, geopolitical, narrative, epistemic, and psychotic—through which reality is now forced, bent, and rerun. We are not observers of these processes but components in them: carriers of fictions, nodes in replication pipelines, walkers in constrained squares, thinkers under the spell of circular movements.
What is at stake is no longer how to return to some lost reality, but how to inhabit this condition strategically. Volume II explores how contemporary art takes up this challenge.🔮
𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬
𝐕𝐨𝐥 𝐈: Emily Martin, Miguel Prado Casanova, Mikkel Rørbo, Parham Ghalamdar & Parsa Esmaeilzadeh, Pichaya Aime Suphavanij, Vincent Lê, Wouter Kusters
𝐕𝐨𝐥 𝐈𝐈: Eliška Jahelková, Ema Ograjenšek, Jiří Sirůček, Jon Derganc, Luja Šimunović, Most Dismal Swamp, Noemi Purkrábková, Philip Speakman, Proto Gallery Systems, Scott Wark, Sophie Publig & Claire Elise Herzberg, Vladimir Vidmar, Živa Božičnik Rebec
Šum issues #24 and #25 are edited by Maks Valenčič & Tjaša Pogačar. Design by Jaka Neon. Production: Rok Horvat.

TAR STAR
Aleksandra Vajd & Anetta Mona Chişa & Tjaša Pogačar
The Sun: a thing of the now; a contemporary object.
Masked complexity, hidden intricacy.
It is the raw ingredient of images.
No order, no dimension, no simulation.
First flash, lightning-bolt.
The cosmos is a shot.
Dark dot, blind thought, deep naught.
Back to the unknown.
A fractal experience of light, cloning of the real.
Shot by us.

Shot by us.

Very special thanks to dearest Frederike for having me as your curatorial partner in crime, and for the thought-provoking and joyful conversations along the way, and of course to the absolutely top-notch Kunstraum team for all the care, support, and professionalism throughout! 💛

Join us for the opening on September 2nd at @kunstraum_niederoesterreich!
The exhibition curated together with dear @frederikesperling takes the moments of suspended narration, the hesitations between words, as a metaphor for an interregnum between worlds. Asking, what other ways of relating and understanding may root in this threshold, it makes time and space for the groans, stutters, movements, and experiences at the edges and limits of language and communication.

Warm thank you to Frederike and the amazing Kunstraum team as well as all the participating artists for a wonderful collaboration! 💗

Thanks also to @skicawien for supporting my stay in Vienna!

🌀What kind of art and philosophy are called for when reality becomes the precarious thing par excellence?
@sumjournal OPEN CALL for texts and art projects!
🔵 Deadline: 15th of July (23:59 CEST)
Tracing an emerging algorithmically fueled psychotic break with reality, the upcoming double issue of ŠUM investigates how contemporary art and philosophy engage with the effects of a shifting psychic, media, and political landscape in a world no longer organized by facts but fictions.
We invite contributions that navigate this territory structured by affective intensity rather than empirical truth, exploring the effects and affordances unfolding between psychotic disbelief in reality on the one end and the suspension of disbelief in fiction on the other.

We would like to welcome our first speakers of Panel 4, "Playing the Self Beyond Algorithms", scheduled on 24th of May @msuzagreb. 👾
Tjaša Pogačar & Brandon Rosenbluth
"Reflections on/from ARIA"
Algo-Rhythmic Ideation Assembly (ARIA) is a summer school that hybridizes art, education, and theory with immersive (role)play, which we initiated and curated in Ljubljana in 2023 and 2024. ARIA took the form of a week-long intensive gathering that brought together an international cohort of artists and thinkers for a public programme and closed-door workshops embedded in an immersive role-play experience created by OMSK Social Club. The summer school adopted a role-play format to escape from entrenched ways of being and thinking – both individually and collectively – amid ongoing political and ecological upheaval. Inspired by mystical techniques, contemporary cultural theory, speculative thinking, occult traditions, and digital technologies, ARIA sought to prototype other possible selves, collectivities, and worlds, allowing for new forms of subjectivities to emerge and bleed into our consensus reality.
In our talk, we will outline the context, motivations, approach, and challenges involved in the design of ARIA. Drawing on practices and discussions with the mentors and participants that shaped its two editions, we will reflect on how methods embodied and participatory fictions, such as role-playing, might shift understandings of identity, collectivity, and agency beyond identity politics. We will explore the possibilities this opens for creative practice, curatorial work, and institutional change.
Tjaša Pogačar is a curator and editor-in-chief of Šum. She co-created ARIA and runs the Plaza Protocol off-site project. Her writing appeared in e-flux, ETC, Fotograf, and publications by L’internationale, MG+MSUM, and elsewhere. She is pursuing a PhD at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague (AVU), exploring exhibition-making as a collective world(build)ing practice.
Brandon is the co-creator and curator of ARIA and curator for the Indigo Festival. He has collaborated with Mariechen Danz, Saša Spačal, Aïsha Devi, CTM, ISO LABS, and Reforester festivals.

Last week to see Tar Star by @aleksandravajd and @amonachisa in @cukrarna.art!
It’s been such a joy to be part of this project, watch it take shape, and share so many rewarding conversations along the way. Huge thanks to Cukrarna and their team, and of course to Aleksandra and Anetta, for making it all happen and bringing me along as your curatorial companion for this very special show < 3
Tar Star is on view until April 6. With sound and scent woven into the experience, Instagram can’t do it justice. Try to visit if you have the chance ✨

A bit more than a year ago, we curated with dear @jelisalveta and @jen_kratochvil a show titled ...𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒚 𝒍𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒅.... It turned out to be the last show in Kunsthalle Bratislava just before the institution was dismantled under a political shift to the right. The show was a constantly evolving site for alternative stories (of origins, kinships, futures, communities, resistance,..) for living through times of uncertainty beyond bad or good endings and definitive answers.
Reflecting on 2024 and the direction the world seems to be heading, I thought of sharing some photos of the show, since the positions it featured feel just as relevant—if not more so—today as they did back then.
Thanks to all the artists: björnsonova & Tamara Antonijević, Lucia Kvočáková, Lucie Mičíková, Nik Timková, Zuzana Žabková / András Cséfalvay / Katrina Daschner / Gideon Horváath / Tina Hrevušová / Valentýna Janů / Teuta Jonuzi & Daria Lytvynenko / Ursula Mayer / Isadora Neves Marques / Wendelien van Oldenborgh / Gregor Petrikovič / Agnieszska Polska / Maruša Sagadin / Selma Selman / Natália Sýkorová / Ezra Šimek / Transformella (fed and cared for by JP Raether).

I fell quite ill while we were prepping this show and couldn’t make it to the install or opening, but Jelisaveta’s, Jen’s, and everyone’s support was truly heartwarming. It’s rare in the art world to actually experience the care we hear so much about. It makes a difference 🫶

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
