Drew this as I was thinking about what apple trees are doing when it’s dark.
I posted this to my story yesterday and I got some really nice responses (🥲) so I thought I’d post as well.

Sometimes it’s nice to make a thing. I made a new IG page to share things I make if you’re into that kind of thing over at ➡️ @andyandywebb

Formant Lamp, Prototype (2025)
English Elm, Birch Ply

Both a functional source of light and a sculptural piece, the lamp takes cues from the structure of acoustic enclosures exploring how light, like sound, resonates within a space, shaping and influencing its environment.

Build with assistance (all the hardest parts) from the talented @ka_rastudio
Exhibited as a part of ‘100 Lights’ by Friends and Associates (Melbourne Design Week, 2025)

Exhibition cards for @ceresfairwood ‘s ‘Origin to Object’, a part of Melbourne Design Week 2023. With inspiration drawn from historical botanical documentation, these cards told the story of each species of timber used in the exhibition — highlighting the timbers unique origins from grower to miller and finally the maker.

Our contribution to Origin to Object presented by @ceresfairwood and @ngvmelbourne — introducing the ‘Medley’ series. A collaboration between us, Katrina Ramm of Ka Ra Studio (@ka_rastudio) and Andy Webb (@_andywebb).

The series, alongside 10 other incredible works are on display within Origin to Object at Abbotsford Convent (Industrial School) for Melbourne Design Week 2023 showing until this Sunday (28th May).

The pieces, a free-standing lamp and two side tables were created using a selection of contrasting timber species provided by CERES Fair Wood — all sustainably sourced from a range of incredible agroforesters, small-scale farm foresters and urban salvagers. Three native Australian timber species were selected for the project to showcase and highlight the breadth and tonal variety in native Australian timbers — the exact origin of which have been document above (swipe across).

The form of the series, which although is more complex internally to allow for minimal material wastage, utilises a more playful and naive approach with its simple stacked construction externally. This allows for the piece to appear more exaggerated in scale while still remaining quite low in weight and small in footprint.

In their final form the pieces arrive back full circle, evoking the natural gradient seen across the stacked racks of timber boards in the Fair Wood HQ.

Thank you to Kate and everybody at CERES Fair Wood for having us involved in the exhibition — an incredible bunch of people that have done such an amazing job with not only this exhibition, but with everything they do to hero these amazing materials.

Exhibition: Origin to Object presented by CERES Fair Wood
Venue: Abbotsford Convent (Industrial School) @abbotsfordconvent @cityofyarra
Location: Wurundjeri Country — 1 St Heliers St, Abbotsford VIC 3067
Dates: 22nd – 28th May 2023 (10am – 4pm / Free Entry)

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
