Daniel Dor
Dotted Note Enthusiast🌻 ‘Found & Found’ just dropped ✨👇
@_daniel_dor and I sat down to share some of the music that inspired our new album Found & Found. Here’s a selection of the tracks that shaped the sound and story behind it:
1. Lalo Schifrin - Frost Trees
2. Patricia Escudero - Gnossienne I (Erik Satie)
3. Herbie Hancock - Rain Dance
4. Frederick Delius - A Song Of Summer
5. Robert Musci - Lullabies... Mother Sings... Father Plays
@nitaihershkovits and I just released our new album Found & Found ✨ following the thread we’ve been growing through The Garden Suite and Four Petals—drawing inspiration for musical material from rhythmic and visual concepts. The album was recorded using analog synths, nylon strings and some clarinets, with a heavier emphasis on sequencing. It was made with a sense of urgency, in a studio hovered by sirens. Perhaps it’s a documentation of a soundscape we ourselves needed to be found in. It is made for anyone and everyone in need of alternative space. Much love and gratitude to @rawtapes @rejoicer1 @circuscompany @asafshay and everyone involved in bringing this music to life 🌲

OUT NOW - ‘Found & Found’ by Nitai Hershkovits and Daniel Dor, also available on vinyl
@nitaihershkovits and @_daniel_dor return with Found & Found, their second collaborative album and a natural continuation of the musical dialogue initiated with The Garden Suite.
Born out of pure curiosity — “there was more to say, more to explore,” explains Dor — the album expands the duo’s sonic language beyond the synth-only framework of their previous work. While the Moog remains central, Found & Found introduces clarinet and acoustic guitar, gently dissolving the boundaries between electronic and acoustic sound.
Each composition unfolds through interlocking, mantra-like patterns. Repetition becomes a space for transformation: melodies circle, textures shift, and subtle harmonic movements invite the listener inward. The music is structured with care, yet it feels open and fluid, intimate, spacious and quietly immersive. If their previous record explored orchestral depth through synthesizers, this new chapter embraces air and clarity. Acoustic gestures emerge within electronic landscapes, creating a sound world that is both grounded and weightless.
Daniel Dor brings with his fellow partner Nitai Hershkovits a refined harmonic sensitivity shaped by both jazz and classical traditions. Together they continue to refine a shared language that moves between structure and freedom, precision and emotion.
The album is available on vinyl as a special limited edition, released in collaboration between @rawtapes and @circuscompany.

OUT NOW - ‘Elsewhere’ by Nitai Hershkovits & Daniel Dor
The second single from @nitaihershkovits and @_daniel_dor’s second collaborative album, “Found & Found,” is true to its name - this composition will transport you. Assembled from repeating, jigsaw-puzzle-like, synth patterns, flowering clarients and hushed acoustic guitar, the song introduces a mystical, folk feel to the duo’s body of work. “The repetition can take you somewhere else,” advises Hershkovits.

OUT NOW - ‘The Sprite and The Bride,’ by Nitai Hershkovits and Daniel Dor
The first single from @nitaihershkovits and @_daniel_dor’s LP, ‘Found & Found,’ builds on a repeating, rhythmic riff “that feels like a children’s mobile,” says Dor. The track was born from the mathematical experiments of two musicians exploring the point where melody and rhythm meet - the result is sweetly meditative, for kids and adults alike.

After the cinematic opening of “Jazz on the Big Screen”, the stage belonged to @omrimormusic Trio — an extraordinary performance, full of emotion, virtuosity, and that unmistakable jazz freedom.
Each piece unfolded like a story: colors, contrasts, and rhythms that crossed borders and connected hearts. A moment of pure artistry and energy that reminded us why jazz is alive.
And as a delightful surprise, @benchawes joined the trio on stage, adding a touch of spontaneity and warmth to an already remarkable night.
What a way to begin this anniversary edition.
Thank you for being part of this unforgettable opening night.
See you tomorrow for Day 2.

🎶✨ Nitai Hershkovits & Daniel Dor - “The Garden Suite” - Circus Company ✨🎶
