Defled is the artistic project of Mallorcan-born producer Pere Cánovas. A sonic world of deconstructed ambient music—slowed down, reshaped, and infused with subtle dub finishes.
Ambient recordings unfold through blurred, diffuse textures and stretched vocal fragments that dissolve into near-unrecognizable forms, creating a sense of weightlessness. His sound draws unexpected connections between American Southern hip-hop, pop, and classical music, weaving them into an atmospheric and immersive listening experience.
His journey into electronic music followed an unconventional path, moving from nu-metal and shoegaze toward experimental sound practices. The discovery of Aphex Twin marked a pivotal moment, redefining his artistic direction and opening new dimensions in his approach to composition.
Working from the geographical periphery of Mallorca while remaining deeply connected to an international network of forward-thinking artists and labels, Defled operates across disciplines as a producer, visual artist, and mastering engineer. His practice navigates the tension between linear structure and sonic deconstruction, continuously seeking balance within contrast.

Mallorca based producer Defled brings a full-length mix of unreleased original material. Work mapped into one continuous environment between aqueous micro-details & diffused, textural restraints. Low gravity frequencies rub against each other and subtle rhythmic asymmetry leans into swinging patterns. No Crescendos, one fluid statement in between zones: attentive ambient with preliminary language and rhythmic intelligence.
