happy to share this mix i made for @distant__signals

here are some words i wrote about it:

this mix is like a dive..
in sixth grade i was on a diving team and every time i stood on the board about to jump i was terrified. time dilated and i was paralyzed but somehow my body moved because the thing had to be done. entering water i was so relieved to be in an embrace, where no one could see me.

it's reminiscent of the process it takes to trust someone deeply, which honestly scares me a lot and doesn't come easily..

musically i was inspired by @dripping.fyi earlier this summer. it changed my perspective on everything and gave me clarity around why i listen to and make music. it was amazing to see people expressing in ways that allow others to calibrate themselves in whatever ways are needed..

i recorded this in a few sessions after coming home as the experience metabolized. ive been learning and listening a lot and am excited for u to hear the sounds that've been inhabiting my world lately ♡
