I've had one of the most wholesome experiences of my professional life this week delivering my 2nd @arvon__creative writing retreat this year.

I had the privilege of working alongside @danielle_jawando who is a fantastic author and such a kind soul. She has a real passion for writing books for young audiences and creating stories of those who aren't often seen. Thank you.

Vulnerability would be the word I'd use to sum up the week, the students were able to open up because we were also very open about our own stories, life experiences and journeys as authors and poets.

The work they produced this week was truly a sight to see. Such major growth in a short amount of time. Wonderful.

Im in a very privileged position and I never take anything for granted. Give thanks.

MY CITY, this play definitely resonated with me on so many levels.

Big up to the cast who spent their summer rehearsing and co-creating the play. It was a huge honour to be part of such a dedicated and caring team at @companythree to produce such a relatable and relevant play.
