hey guys we have kind of a heavy announcement - jon jon’s injury requires immediate attention, including surgery and pre and post operative care …
so that means that jon will not be joining us on tour for the first 6 shows. that’s obviously really sad and distressing news for jon and the rest of the crew. truly makes our heart hurt that jon will not be with us for a chunk of the tour. but obviously this is hardest on jon, so please send him love and support.
it was a difficult decision, whether to cancel the shows, reschedule the shows later into 2026, or proceed without jon. we’re always trying to make the best decisions for everyone and for the fans… but jon expressed that it’s important to him that the shows proceed as scheduled. so we persist onward
he’s recording his parts at home right now as we speak, with an immobile dominant hand, so that the tour can continue. so everyone drop some love, support, and healing energy in the comments
and when he’s back on the road, make sure he gets some extra applause for his insane resilience and strength 🥺🫧

“and if I’m the one you’re taking power from / wouldn’t that make me the powerful one?”
so much of our exploitation, abuse, and oppression, in a systemic sense, comes from the people in so-called “power” trying to gaslight the masses and reverse the power dynamic. they want to disenfranchise the working class because they know at any moment we could galvanize and - just by sheer number - dismantle the bourgeoisie. they want to take the rights away from women and people with wombs because they know that we have the power in giving life and they are trying to take that for themselves. it’s worth asking - are they actually jealous of our ability to give birth?
in a personal sense, I have noticed that abusers want to control everyone’s perception of you. they want to smear your name. they want to push you to the brink of insanity and then point their finger at you and say “everyone look at how crazy she’s acting right now”. they choose the most powerful, confident women, and attempt to break them down. I think that breaking down powerful women makes abusers feel powerful. it’s something they wanted for themself. if they can’t be confident and authentic, or possess someone confident and authentic, then they resort to destroying someone confident and authentic. because if you can’t have it, no one can.
I wrote this song the summer roe v wade was overturned. simultaneously, I was grappling with the aftermath of emotional abuse. my anger, disillusionment, and sense of justice had to be channeled thru music.
after I wrote this song, I just sat and cried. and thanked the source, the cosmos, whoever was responsible for letting me pull this song out of the universe. it gave me so much relief and catharsis at a time I felt so alone.
I hope this song helps people reverse the narrative against hysterical women. especially if you are actively inside of that perceived hysteria.
and I also hope it shows everyone that creation is more powerful than destruction. destruction is easy, it’s lazy, and it’s unimaginative. I hope it inspires people to be constructive with their anger. to build, to create, to sing, to bring people together, to birth.
