To our Family,
It’s hard to put Twenty Years into words, but today I want to try.
When we started this band, we didn’t have a roadmap; just a love for heavy music, a need to say something honest, and a belief that if we gave everything we had, maybe someone out there would feel it too. You did more than feel it. You carried it.
We never set out to write "popular" music; we set out to write true music. Music we would listen to ourselves. No trends, no masks, no shortcuts. Influenced by artists we love, yes, but always unapologetically ourselves. That you chose to stand with us on that road is something we’ll never take for granted.
Through every record, every show, every mile of highway and every uncertain moment, you stood with us. Last year was one of those moments that reminds us why we never quit. 'Pillar of Fire', our first studio release in 12 years, becoming the fastest and highest-added album to terrestrial radio was something we could have never imagined back in those early days. That wasn’t a fluke or a trend, that was you showing up, loud and unapologetic, the way metal has always been meant to be.
Milestones are many in Twenty Years..
Being hand-picked by Metallica to play their inaugural festival is a moment we’ll carry for the rest of our lives. To be recognized by a band that shaped all of us, and to stand on that stage knowing you were there with us in spirit, was beyond humbling. And to José, Scotty, Shawn and the crew at SiriusXM: thank you for believing in us, supporting us, and championing our music when it mattered most. That kind of support changes lives.
Over the years, this band has also given us something just as powerful: family. The incredible bands we’ve toured with, the friendships forged in vans, buses, shot backstage rooms, and venues across the world; you’ve all shaped who we are. We’re grateful for every shared stage, every late-night conversation, every laugh and every lesson.
